OPEN LETTER TO THE CSM.... (THIS COULD HAPPEN TO ALL OF US EVE PLAYERS)

To all CSM members.

In a case similar to helicity Boson i am having my account banned by ccp.



though i havent received a banned notice my account expires in 2 weeks , i have 2 petitions open, one 10 days ago about a


gm who lied to me twice in 2 petitions. I posted this isue on the forums, i had no help , i wrote it in a petition i had no response


my second petition was about a time extension by paypal of 3 motnhs , i paid , got a receipt but the time hasnt been added.

i havent received a single comment about this either


my account expires in 2 weeks so i am out of time for solutions.

I want to make something clear....



If i had posted a defamatory/ false acusation on the forums about a GM and other CCP GMS read it (which they did) i

would expect a ban/ or a serious warning for misconduct.



i received none ....... that says something, nobody gets called a liar and does nothing.....

i wrote a petition about the lying Gm, i send 3 petition messages asking if at least somebody had read it and where actioning

it.

i havent received even and acknowledment of receipt of petition, not even a," sorry mate we are busy but we will deal with it

asap....."


nothing , silence.

after spending 2 years on this game paying by subcription, and with the time and effort i have put on this game i feel i am being

bullied out of the game as trash.


I would have expected this from microsoft , apple , or the worst of the corporate world, not of the eve staff, not of a game.

these people are not the "suits" of CCP these are eve GMS, this is eve staff

if my acussations were wrong and done on bad faith correct me/ ban me.

If they are true sort them out.

what the GMs of eve are doing is covering and cowering under the same mantle and protected by CCP

This goes well beyond the issues of underdeveloping a game, this is a total breakdown of trust between the people who PLAY

the game and the people who ADMINISTER the game , gms and support staff,


if this happens to me it could happen to you too, it happened to helicity Boson , just a few weeks ago

i cant sell the account as the isk will be locked in a banned account , and i cant continue playing as they wont let me extend

the account, and i of course can forget about solving the gameplay issue which started it all......

the CSM allows the bulling of players because they disagree with eve staff, or demand explanations about why are they being


lied to. what will it take?, i am not asking for game breaking revolution........


All i would ask of you is to pressure the GMs involved into answers, take them to account, demand they uphold some basic

standards of behaviour, un-ban me and look at the issues they are hiding behind.


this isnt just about the 300 euros lost, or the thousands of hours of effort gone to the toilet, this is

also about freedom of expression, is about us players deciding when/if we want to quit , and not being ignored treated like

idiots / trash, this is about not letting eve online staff treat us like their employers CCP treat you CSM and us.



so what is it going to be?, is anyone going to step forward and demand action and an investigation?

i cant do anything else if the other side wont talk...... will they listen to you?




i can email the petitions to the CSM, i got them saved just in case they banned me officially.

It would help if you would post a step-by-step timeline as to what is going on. Your posting is all jumbled and confused and there is no way for anyone to determine if there really is a problem.

You could start by explaining why you can't just get a GTC or PLEX and use it to fund your account.

i normally subscribe by eve credit card or paypal, however is been a week since i got the paypal 3 month subs paid and it hasnt been credited.


about plex, gtc i havent tried , but they are very expensive to buy monthly, plex on market i cant afford long term.

to be honest i dont even think this is about "technical difficulties"


after i mentioned on my second petition that something was going on on my account because of a first petition aganist a gm, the gm that was dealing with the money petition dissapeared and hasnt responded.

therefore i think they are just waiting till my account expires.

The whole "lying GM" bit (if it is what I remember it was), doesn't exist. What you demanded was access to internal development material (internal bug reports) as evidence of their decision/statement. Very few companies/businesses are even allowed to share such data un-edited as it is technically private communications between a client and provider.
On the My Petitions page you can usually see if/when an issue is attributed to a known bug, normally very hazy language they use though so might not be much help.

As for the PayPal thing: There was a thread a few months back which indicated that there was a problem verifying payments at one point, but it was resolved afterwards.
Contact Billing&Account with accurate description of events and be prepared to send them PayPal receipts when they ask for them (may not be required, just in case).
NB: It may be that since PayPal is regarded as a CC provider for online purchases, the time is not credited (and hence no money spent) until it is actually needed .. ie. when account is about to expire. Check with Billing to confirm, haven't used CC/PayPal for ages myself so could have changed.

If you're not happy with the response of a GM, you can always escalate it to a more senior GM to review the decision.

As Trebor pointed out, a timeline would help understand the situation in the order that it happened. I would also suggest including that timeline in your petition when you request for it to be escalated. Once escalated though it may take longer for a response as there's only a limited number of senior GM's.

One thing I should point out is that it's not a good idea to call people a liar. I understand you might be frustrated, but remain calm when dealing with the GM's. It could go a long way in resolving the issue.

Also try to get to a GM who can speak your first language, as it seems it's not English.

How is that you can log on the forum if you have been banned?

AFAIK you need an active and not baned account to log in.

You might be getting banned because you keep on raising the same topic up over and over, beating it to death. I've read the posts you've made, and I have yet to find any evidence of lying or deception on the part of CCP. I have found evidence of you making unreasonable demands of the GMs, though.

Overall, I understand you're upset, but I think it would be best if the topic is dropped, as it all started up with you asking a gameplay-related question of a GM. It has since devolved into you complaining about how GMs lied to you, and won't show you internal CCP documents, etc.

The best analogy I can get is me going to my boss to ask a question I can find the answer to elsewhere, then when I don't like her answer, I go to her boss. Then I go to their boss, and make a big huge stink about it - then get fired.

Please stop already! Take it up with a GM or Dev in game. If you don't like a GM's response then escalate it past him/her. Stop posting this drivel on the forums where it DOES NOT BELONG!

Ok, I am going to step in here and close this thread.

To the OP, at no stage was your account in jeopardy and no one was trying to ban you in the Customer Support dept. You have every right to be dissatisfied but no one will ban you for that.

As for your PayPal issue, I see that Billing have sorted that for you since yesterday so your account will show the added time correctly.

Please, for future reference, keep updates to your active petitions or ask for an escalation to a Senior GM. GM's are unable to answer petitions publicly for you on the forums and all such communication must be kept in the proper channels.
