2 questions for experts about faction warfare and regular missions

Hi friends,

since I've read a lot of contradictory answers in the help channel, i thought I'll ask here.

1. Faction Warfare
If i join faction warfare and then fly around in highsec systems of my empire, will my empire's navy protect me in case I'm attacked by opposite militia pilots ? I know this was the case in the past but then there were forum threads by devs and rumours that this was removed with the latest patch. Is there any reliable info on that ?


2. Missions (the regular ones, not FW missions)
Each faction gives missions against a specific pirate faction. For example Caldari give missions mostly against Guristas, Amarr mostly against Sanshas. Does this has something to do with the faction of the agent or the space, where this mission is given ? In other words: if i work for a Caldari agent, who lives in Amarr space, will he give me mostly missions against Guristas (because Caldari hate Guristas) or will he give me many missions against Sanshas (because Sanshas are the pirates who are active in Amarr space) ?

1. Yes - BUT. Someone who come into your high sec to kill you will have taken that into consideration and they will have tanked appropriately. Just watch local and learn which mission you can do with PvP fits and farm only those ones.
I think the higher sec status the system is - the more/tougher navy come, but I never really bothered to test it.

2. Dunno but it doesn't really matter. Just learn the damage types and shoot the rats - don't think too much into it.
You won't really bother with normal empire missions once you have access to Faction missions.
The FW LP stores are so much better.



I'll say it again cause It's my 2nd biggest gripe with FW:
CCP should hit the delete on the code for NPC navy's asap . They are the 2nd most counter productive part of FW.
They only stop PvP between consenting players and have no place or use in eve.
