Freighter warp speed is incorrect?

The fitting screen lists my Providence freighter's warp speed as being 0.8 AU/s. However if you mouse over the 'current speed' indicator, it displays a speed of 0.70 AU/s and the 'distance:' counter decrements by 0.7. Is anyone else having this issue and is it just limited to the Providence? It doesn't appear to be a rounding issue because it's hard to make "0.70" round up to "0.8".

I've already submitted a bug report.

edit: It's a known issue: "We are already aware of this problem, and have added your bugreport to the existing issue in our defect tracking system"

All freighers warp at 0.7 so I think its a visual bug in the fitting screen.

All freighters warp at 0.75 which recently (didn't used to) gets rounded to 0.8 on the fitting screen.

They warp??? Hey, thanks. I will try that. No wonder it's taking me ages to get to those gates.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Yes, but, the distance counter goes down by .7 AU each tick and never decrements by .8 AU. And the speed counter has two decimal places, so it's really hard to justify that 0.70 is somehow 0.75 without some really screwy programming or a someone using "%5.1f0" in their sprintf.

There is a secondary and related issue: if you have HY-2 implants, the increments and max speed show .80, even though it should be higher. It should be .86. If it were rounding, it should round up not down, which made me think maybe the display is truncated, but then why show two decimal places?

In many places the client uses, or at least used to use, way too many decimal places.

Sadly they don't seem to have answered the question of whether its just the display or the actual speed.

Just a small addendum: it was pointed out to me that if you open your fitting window in space, it will show the correct top speed with implants, etc. calculated in.
