Also you admitted before that you profited through the information you got on evenews before you released the article, why should anyone trust, that you won't do it again?

And also this

Also I didnt post this in a while.

Yes the view is quite intimidating is it not.

A couple of questions:

How will your ego interfere with your work on the CSM?
Do you actually think you are as important as your OP states?
Why do you run for CSM? While the OP clearly states your policies, I fail to see any real reasoning behind your application.

Through your "blog" evenews24.com, you have often displayed that you are a very emotional person, led by your hate and struggle for revenge against the CFC, more interested in pleasing your ego by increasing the number of your readers than the actual news themselves. How do you think this will affect you in a CSM position?

Considering how evenews24 is always late with reporting stuff, often several weeks, don't you think this will be a disadvantage in the CSM, if you don't know what's going on until it is too late?

Don't you think, that the tabloid format of evenews24 attracts 12 year old WoW-playing, uneducated pubbies, the one category of players we don't want in this game? Will this reflect your stances on CSM questions?

I also have a request:

Compare yourself to a baboon, please, and list differences and similarities.

STILL waiting for an answer to this. My CSM vote will go to a candidate that answers my questions seriously, this has not been the case so far.

After much review and a heavy heart, I feel that I must weigh in on the issue of Riverini's candidacy. It seems that Riverini may not be qualified to rise above the enormous issues that we face in the coming year and as much as I like to lift him above the other candidates, I simply cannot support him in his giant endeavor. I know that his announcement post is larger than life and I really do believe that he means well but I would prefer him to stay a unbiased, non-objective party as a news reporter rather than blubbering his way through politics. In short, it would be a crime and a disservice to allow Riverini to have his cake and eat it too.

Potato chips are okay though.

Sorry Riverini, you may be well rounded but I do not believe that you can fit into the CSM. Please do what you are best at, which is reporting the news. We will continue to feed you tasty morsels at extremely regular intervals so you never go hungry for action.

Riverini's greatest desire is to be a "player" in EvE politics, particularly in nullsec, and everything he does (evenews24, goon hate, and running for the CSM) is a means to that end. He is a nobody desperately trying to be a somebody. He would just as quickly turn pro-goon if he thought it would help him, and just as easily toss everything gained by CSM6 away to advance his own cause.

There's a lot that I dislike about most of the other CSM candidates, but I do believe the non-comedy ones are sincere and genuinely want to improve the game (even if I think their "improvements" will likely make it worse--I don't doubt their sincerity). Riverini is completely insincere and dishonest on every level, and I would rather have the biggest pubbie carebear on the CSM than him. Honestly, if anything could destroy the relationship between CCP and the CSM, it would be Riverini (or Xenuria) winning a seat.

As much as I make fun of this game, and say it's a bad game that I'm bad at, I do play it and would like for it to keep getting better. If I really wanted to destroy EvE Online, I would support Riverini's candidacy.

Also, Riverini is hugely obese which I think is against the law in Iceland.

What is your stance on obesity?

Which do you prefer, KFC or McDonald's?

If you get elected, how will you make it worth the four plane tickets needed for the round trip?

If you could have a wish for every pound you weigh, what would the first 500 be?

No sig.

All the useual trolls are out posting on this thread i seeUgh
I agree many of the stories on his website are biased and oftentimes incorrect, but i think people underestimate the ability of a couple people to keep track of everything that goes on in a game the size of EVE. He's not the BBC or CBS or FOX, he doesn't have a massive staff, he doesn't have reporters and helicopters on standby to rush to the latest trainwreck.
The population of eve is similer to that of a small town, and most small town papers publish once a week and miss tons of stuff, though their accuracy is alot better.

I don't think he's the best candidate, i personally prefer The mittani, but i think he should get elected to a seat, a widely disparate group of people discussing the issues in eve is in everyones best interest. No doubt the next csm will benifit from haveing as wide a variety of opinions on it as possible, and at the very least Rivi and mittens will provide plenty of entertainment to the other csm members and the CCP employees who will be dealing with them.

Like many people i seldom post but oftentimes read the forums, and anyone following this should just watch the likes, the commentary in these threads will not be representitave of the average player, only the ones with the most time on their hands or the most overblown egosStraight

Hi Riverini, I'm gonna play the straight man and ask some questions and offer comments about your campaign post. You start off by talking about "bitter vet" players. In your first paragraph, you go on the attack against a group of Eve players that you disagree with. Is this a "receipt" for harassment you've received by players in game or posters on other forums? It starts your campaign off on a hostile note and worries me that your entire point in this exercise may be to troll other community members and be disruptive to the CSM process.

In your second paragraph, you speak of your work with EveNews24, and it's influence on the community. More specifically, YOUR influence on the Eve community. Self-aggrandizing speech is hardly new in politics, but it needs to be tempered with at least a small amount of humility(real or not). You also claim that you have become one of the most polarizing figures in the community. Istvaan Shogaatsu was polarizing. Ginger Magician was polarizing. SirMolle was polarizing. The Mittani is polarizing. No doubt you have your friends and enemies, but this reeks of more exaggeration of your own importance in the player lore of Eve.

That you make the absurd claim that you were a major architect of the Monoclegate situation is the most startling example of this. Your points about RMT in Eve are more of this silliness.

After we explore the glory that is Riverini, you post some vague ideas about what you want to bring to CCP as a member of the CSM, and follow that up with posts about...how people are "butthurt" (Christ if there was ever a term that needs retiring...) and more vague and unformed ideas about changes you'd like to see implemented.

Basically, what are you offering to the Eve community, other than a chance to share in what appears to be an ego stroking exercise, lashing out at other players, and unformed ideas about what should be implemented into the game? Can you flesh out some of these ideas for us?
