My Candidacy, and your votes that enable it, are more than just a collection of +likes. It represents the freedom of choice, the other option beyond The Mittani, beyond UAxDEATH. My entry into the CSM is the path towards the only worthwhile reward, the light at the end of the tunnel when eve players manage to find the candidate best suited to uphold their values, to weather the storms of Mittani's tyranny, to know that the friendships forged in eve that persist on because your choice for CSM fought to keep this game great. Without your votes, the quality of eve will falter and with it the chance for like minded gamers to find the peace that keeps them playing.

Is that dream worth clicking a +Like button?

Editing periodically with your questions and my responses from the thread:

fair enough - whats your views on scamming/proposed changes to nullsec/your out of eve qualifications?

Scamming

Opinion: Many players in eve have been scammed, realizing to their dismay that the GM's will not come in and save them. While this hurts new players and the flow of refugees from other, safer, MMO's to some degree, overall it adds a vast depth and quality to EvE which must be preserved.

Proposed Changes

  1. Offer a warning that briefly covers how to protect yourself from common scams, broadcasted to players entering or logging into Jita. This would NOT be an enforced no-scamming rule, merely a warning to keep as many new players from rage-quitting. Skilled scammers would not run into issues finding more complex ways of separating Jita dwellers from their isk.
  2. Remove no-scamming rule from Recruitment chat. It is full of loopholes, unenforceable, and directly against the spirit of EvE. Change to a warning as a possible CCP compromise.

Proposed Changes to Nullsec

Opinion: Nullsec is currently thriving in the face of CCP roadblocks, but significant positive benefits are possible with minimal changes to the headache inducing and time-wasting aspects such as Sovereignty Grinding and Cyno Marbles (throw capitals in and hope you aren't unlucky enough to get bumped halfway across the map).

Proposed Changes

  1. Make outposts destructible, but not completely. I propose that they be able to turn into a broken form where you cannot dock, but can access your ship hangar and items while within 2500m of the outpost wreck. A new item would be added to re-build broken outposts, costing somewhere in the vicinity of 1/3rd the materials of a new one. The reason for player built outposts only is that were it all stations, within a week Goonwaffe would have thousands of suicide ships tearing down Jita 4-4.
  2. The current Sov system is incredibly painful, nobody should have to spend so much of their time in game shooting structures. I propose we sit down with the devs to break down exactly what is within the realm of the possible, and find a solution that can be adapted and scaled over time.
  3. Disable ridiculous bumping upon cyno in, possibly by altering the mass/velocity ships at instant of landing. I'm sure there's some Science Fiction reason that can be cited.

Real Life Qualifications

  1. I keep EvE and the rest of my life separate. I am 25, unmarried, no children, and have no criminal record.

Hesperus Vanderbeets: Lo yon space peasant!

What giveth thoust the right to take the guise of a noble and seek this office?

Though I support the so-called "rights" of the spacepeasant, I can't see a warlord such as yourself enrise to power and destabilize the space kingdom!

I don't believe eve is separated between peasants and nobles, but instead between those that are content to leave the fate of their enjoyment and invested time and money in the hands of those who do not appreciate it, and those willing to take a stand, to vote for the right candidate. To vote for Lachrimosis.

Tokas III: I want killmails to note when an insufficient clone was used, do you support this?

Absolutely! As permanently destroying things belonging to other players is an integral part of what makes EvE stand out from other MMO's, I wholeheartedly support and will actively work to include more on killmails.

This so far includes:

  1. If clone was sufficient (possibly note if alpha clone)
  2. Ships in hangars of destroyed capitals

Woo Glin: Lach is pretty much the entire reason that engine trails are back, and is a close friend of mine IRL. +1

What would you like to know? I feel the public would better understand my positions and policies if I answer their questions directly, rather than blathering on with the same canned drivel as the majority of CSM hopefuls here.

Lo yon space peasant!

What giveth thoust the right to take the guise of a noble and seek this office?

Though I support the so-called "rights" of the spacepeasant, I can't see a warlord such as yourself enrise to power and destabilize the space kingdom!

Fate, as thoust referst to it, is not mine speel but rather that ov a space bishop.

Art thou not content with the station ov thine birth? Surely if you were to enter the service ov a noble lord as a squire, you might rise to great heights. Would thouest take upth arms ov great valour against the enemies ov space?

There are no living enemies I seek to take up arms against; it is the spirit of resigned detachment, the willingness to accept the decisions handed down upon the masses without their consent or consultation that I wage war against.

The masses need such a shepard, to engiveth upon them a freedom previously unseen would be far too changest far too quickly.

What they need is a king of true, a noble blooded knight whom hat enlightenment and is enblessed of the church.

Does the mob chooseth the additive features that make space most awesome? They hat no such a whim, but rather great noble men of proper birth choose these changes to much rejoicing ov the crowd.

The people do choose the features, not by clamoring on the forums but by logging in every day and playing the game. What the people need is not a king or overlord, but someone who can listen to the needs of the people, someone like I, Lachrimosis.

Your exhaustive list of proposed changes and fixes to the many issues that plague EVE has left me thoroughly assured of your qualifications for this job. Clearly you have much experience in every aspect of EVE and accompany that experience with a vast array of opinions and critically observed remedies.

Or you're just another shlub who think's he's all that but is really just a nobody that no-one will ever care about...

I'm yet undecided upon which of these two you are.
