less graphics and more gameplay would be good but no matter what we do .... seems you are not listening

First off, thank you. People have been screaming about the "ship spinning' since Incarna was released. And really, it wasn't all about spinning the ship, but the functionality the new system removed, the long load times when we wanted to just dock and undock, and the immersion aspect that's removed by forcing us to go to quarters with every docking, which was ridiculous. I understand that management and marketing wanted to force the NEX store onto us, and there was no way to see ourselves with our cool expensive monocles without that. But really, it was a horrible idea all around.

Kudos on a new font that's actually readable too. That old one made my eyes hurt.

I'm glad that CCP has finally listened to what the PLAYERS wanted, rather than what marketing dictated. I really didn't think CCP was going to back down from the hangar view and at best give us some half-assed substitute to tide us over until Incarna performance issues were addressed. I guess I was wrong about that. And I'm glad I was.


I really hope this is a new direction that CCP is taking in actually paying attention to what customers want. It's just a shame it took mass protests, revolts, a ton of cancellations, and a crapload of bad press in order to see the light.

People were constantly telling me I was crazy. For a long time I didn't believe them, but after a while, I started to think they might be right.

But it turns out that they were all wrong. One of the voices in my head is a psychiatrist and he says I'm perfectly sane.

Well firstly this is all good news I think we can agree.

So, for next time, when myself and others test your new ideas on the test server and ask specifically for this ideas to be implemented, rather than just ignoring your test feedback from the test server on the test server forum and then having a massive RAGE fest which has damaged your reputation by releasing a disaster, you listen to the feedback and don't dismiss it as being stupid like we don't know what we are talking about.


Edit:- Can we pls have the peeling skin cloaking effect back as well. Big smile

The very first thing I noticed looking at the screenshots was the new font, which is very exciting. Then I saw the third screenshot which features the infamous ohs ("Opux") and zeroes ("Security Level > 0.9") and that the oh is abnormally thin, meaning they still look very similar x.X In fact, looking down at the show info for the turret, even lower case ohs ("ammo", "Radio") are afflicted with the same strange thinness. The new font seems to have solved the issue for OQD, but please also make sure zero and oh aren't left behind.

Oh, another question: Will dragging a ship out of the ship window work even if we are in avatar view mode?

Also when we are in the CQ it seems to me that you could make it so any double click that is not a valid location for walking would result in an open cargo hold.

In other words, restore the station functionality not matter if we are looking at a ship or an avatar.

Good changes all around, though the board/unboard option was already requested by CSM5 - it's a little disappointing it took this long for CCP to come around to the idea.

Can any Dev please tell me if this is going to fix the problem where the inside of my toons nostrals are lit up such that it looks like he has a candle inside his head like a jack-o-lantern? Happens in station when no lights are shining up my nose. Doesn't happen in the customizer.

That is one of the lighting bugs that just bugs the bajeebs out of me.

Please advise.

Yay for reverting to some old things, yes incarna has been fun but ship spinning was more fun and much more functional.
