And the mentioned trolls make an appearance. I tried hiring them months ago, but couldn't get passed the trolling. Couldn't reach anyone competent enough to discuss business for at the time I needed a WH cleaned out.

How can they call themselves WH mercs if they can't even behave themselves long enough to negotiate taking on a job?

They may retain the name, but now they're just a collection of random retards without direction or purpose. The only reason why we know they still exist (sort of) is because they troll the forums. Their ingame presence is practically non existent to WH dwellers.

They asked for 6 billion to defend a c1 with a strait face for a few of my friends. Other mercs will charge less to take over a WH. I can only imagine it was "trolling".

Even though narwhals are fail cascading now, I'll at least defend them on this point: While that specific contract might have been cocked up somehow, in general you get what you pay for. So if you want to defend your crappy little c1 you either pay for quality service from bigger, more skilled mercs or you go cheap and get bargain basement defences

This pot is simmering nicely. Albeit slowly cooking a bird in water means no crispy skin like when you properly roast one in the oven.

The alts claiming our downfall are becoming more obvious that they aren't in the leadership of DUCK (i.e. not a director/ceo of any of our corps), and as a result simply reporting hearsay and in some cases just plain s***e - I tried to say in an earlier post that you need more conviction in your character to convince the general public of your intel if you are going to post using an alt.

Trolls gotta troll though I suppose..

ooo, is this a dig at me and my corp?
please let this be a dig at me and my corp!
i haven't had any good tears in too long :(

on a more serious note, the reason we left Ducks was due to a difference in opinions and direction rather than any hard feelings on either side.
while they may not be the 1000 man alliance they were in their prime, Ducks are hardly dead and i have little doubt we'll be seeing them around for some time yet.

One does not need to be in the leadership to notice when the leadership makes poor decisions. At any rate, bleeding corps because of issues amongst the leadership - and this isn't hearsay, directors and CEO's have explicitly stated this - is certainly not a good thing for an alliance. I'd be interested to know if these corps leaving actually made the alliance leadership reconsider their previous positions and choices, and how they'll handle things in the future, or if it's just a case of continuing on as if nothing happened. I think the latter would be a mistake, but it's not mine to make so w/e

I like pink, but that doesn't make blue ugly.
The fact that you (or your corp) don't like a decision doesn't make that decision bad (after all, a majority liked the decision else it wouldn't have been made). If you have to much disagreement you each go your own way, wich is what happened.

Keep trolling though. We are important enough for you to care about it seems :)

I care because I was in the alliance, and was upset to see things play out the way they did. I think certain people *not* caring was what put the alliance on the path that ended up with a number of corporations leaving.

PS I think it's safe to say that decisions - and crappy behaviour and attitudes surrounding some of those decisions/decision makers - that result in a sizable chunk of your alliance dropping out are objectively bad ones.

This isn't trolling, it's just my two cents. If narwhals can't see any opinions or discussions for what they are without immediately suspecting it all being some troll scheme then maybe that suggests there's a problem with the trolling.

That last sentence was a little bit troll-y, but it's also true.

the fact of the matter is that there are 3 sides to every story

just because a few corps left doesn't mean we are a sitting duck and certainly not a dead one.

everyone in eve no matter who u are and no matter the size has to go through a transition period at some point and this is what duck is currently doing.

we are actively taking contracts and for-filling them.

we are all communicating and singing from the same hymn sheet nowadays so there's no problem.

i sat back and watched the differences from a leadership perspective and have my own opinion on what was what and i totally understand what some people was trying to do and failed terribad.

i stand by duck and the decisions they make and im happy with the direction they are going in.

i also know that not everything is how it is being perceived to be.

happy valentines day! <3
