I think that incursions have totally destroyed the marketplace with inflation. I think there should be penalties to running incursions. These people are just making too much isk with little to risk. Thus my idea is that when a ship gets blown up in an incursion, the sansha should also pod the pilot. This way there is more risk to running incursions and thus less people doing them. This would help re balance the marketplace.

Seems reasonable, +1 from me. More destroyed implants means more isk being burned in the LP store. It should be automatic, though, without any chance of the pilot being able to warp their pod out.

The price of HML2s and 425s (two extremely common modules) is about the same as it was last year. You have a bizarre definition of inflation.

No CONCORD in incursion sites.

Problem solved.

I don't really think incursions have "destroyed" the market, unless you count rising plex prices which might be attributed to an increase in the number of people capable of paying for them. As for as ship/item prices go it seems pretty stable, although I agree that risk/reward is screwed.

Anyway, this idea depends on ships actually being destroyed in incursions. Given the rarity of that occurring, it's a pretty pointless concept. A better suggestion IMHO would be for CCP to alter incursion mechanics to increase the number of ships being destroyed in the first place.

I'm not sure I agree on your premis for a start.. We do have inflation but lets not all jump on the "I hate incursions" badwagon just yet. I think your proposal will have minimal impact on inflation because it's pretty rare for incursion fleets to fail that badly. I personally don't have any problem with incursions.. They pay more than missions and are more enjoyable.. But they're still never going to be the best way to make ISK. Plus the 100mil an hour figure everyone throws about is pretty out there. You have to be in a really good fleet to get that. Most people will get roughly 60 mil an hour which tbh I think is reasonable.

Instead why not just provide a huge LP bonus to the fleet that kills the mothership..? Thus giving motivation for incursioners to **** over their fellow runners.

Because they still won't do it.

60m an hour is a site every ten minutes, if you're doing it that slowly you're doing something wrong. That is closer to the minimum amount a player will earn running incursions. On top of that there are the LP rewards, when I was running incursions they usually amounted to a +6% implant on both my characters per incursion. Although admittedly I'm pretty active.

It's also worth pointing out that a lot of people dual box them, which isn't that difficult, and dual boxing incursions probably is pretty much the highest ISK/hour zero risk profession in Eve.

There's plenty of risk in Incursions.

What if your FC is drunk?

What if your logi's are crap and they don't rep properly? Or they disconnect?

Those are serious risks man.

That would be such an amusing whine fest, but would make sense if you follow the logic that CONCORD are stretched thin dealing with the incursion as well.

Most people ARE DOing it wrong, Incursions have existed for so long with the hate on DREKs, and I still see fleets with 2-3 DREKs in them. Creepy.

And lets not forget the occasional idiot in the NM that decides to fire his guns instead of cap xfer the basi that needs backup cap.

Pretty much this, how is space invaded by the Sansha "High Security"? For the duration of an incursion the security of the space should be dropped to that of Low Sec or Null.

In addition players with good standing to the Sansha should be able to join their fleets against those trying to stop or farm the incursion.
