Friends of space, lend me your spacelove for I am once again running for the CSM. When I ran last year it was on a unique platform (at least for a CSM candidate) - a pledge to actually play the game. GASP! I have made true on this pledge; as the first alternate I have attended every summit, responded to every individual question asked of me, and given invaluable feedback to CCP every step of the way. Oh, and I did it while being the most active CSM member in-game in the history of the CSM, a superlative I'm honored to hold. So why run again? CSM 6 has made some great headway, but there is still much to be done. Having been on the CSM, an experience I'm grateful for having been exposed to, I have noticed the dire need for an active member - a member who knows how various aspects of the game work because he has actual first-hand knowledge, not because he has read threads about others who have played the game. It is my opinion that there is no substitute for experience. I am neither disillusioned nor cynical about the position, and I am still as passionate as ever to do the job.

So where do I stand on the issues? My primary love for the game is PvP, and in fact it is what I am best known for in-game. I have a soft spot in my heart for low-sec and small gang PvP, and in this term I have pushed hard for tweaks to the risk vs reward aspect of low-sec, efforts which have begun to bear fruit in the form of player owned customs offices. These customs offices are a necessary first step to revitalizing low-sec, but it is just the first step. I want more small-to-medium sized objectives for groups in low-sec, and, given the substantial risks involved, I want low-sec to be more rewarding than high-sec.

With CCPs "Crucible Philosophy", now is the best time to iterate on the mini-professions. There are a glut of professions in Eve, many of which have been introduced and then left on the shelf. I would love to see exploration given a boost, and not simply different NPCs in the sites. This goes hand in hand with my view on risk versus reward; make the low-sec exploration sites more rewarding to go in line with the danger. Let me get some cool things out of them, too!

Local in nullsec is always a hot topic. I stand resolute in my view that a suitable compromise would be to have anywhere between a 15 and 30 second local delay upon jumping in. That is to say, the pilot jumping in will be able to see everyone in local who has been there for more than 15-30 seconds, but he will remain out of local until his timer expires. To make holding space more valuable, systems with military upgrades and a new upgrade (Local Scanning upgrade, or something similar) will have a 20% per level reduction in the local delay. So a system with military upgrades 5 and this local scanning upgrade will have no local delay. This encourages people to live in, and upgrade, systems. Those who venture out for solidarity, alliance will do so with an increased risk. Likewise roaming gangs would have more maneuverability in the outlying areas, but would be more at risk in the main systems. I am not dead set on the specifics, but I do believe the general idea is sound.

I must confess, while I am a PvPer at heart, I also run an industrial corporation that focuses mostly on invention. When I first ran for the CSM, my main industrial pet peeve was being unable to differentiate between BPCs and BPOs. Now that this is solved, my main gripe is with batch-invention. That is to say, the lack thereof. Sometimes I only start a handful of inventions, but when I get on mod-invention binges I being to lose sensation in my fingers from all the mind-numbing clicking. I have all the materials in my lab, let me shove in multiple inventions at the same time!

I've seen Ides of March, I understand that the CSM is a political office and the easiest ticket it in is to promise the stars to everyone. Eve players deserve better, and it is well documented that I have never promised anything that I haven't thoroughly believed in. Along with being the most active, I want to be the most open. I don't have a gimmick to win, I don't have a block vote to boosh me in, I need your support and I will do everything possible to earn it. Ask me any question about what I did on the CSM this term, what I plan to do on the CSM next term, or what I believe with respect to any issue. Ask them in this thread, ask them in a private eve-mail, wherever you feel most comfortable. Since it's clear that I'm a huge space nerd and can fill up my own thread with :words:, I am compiling a website where you can read about my position on a variety of topics. This site will go live in March, a week before the voting period opens. Eve-mail me (or post in this thread) what you would like me to discuss and the ten best questions will be posted and responded to on the site (though every question will be responded to). Should I win a spot on CSM 7, those ten questioners will also receive a PLEX to show my appreciation.

I look forward to earning your vote! In the meantime, I ask that you please "like" this thread to continue on in the nomination Cool

Elise is by far the most competent and experienced EVE player to come anywhere near the CSM.

Do yourselves, CCP and the game a favor, vote for Elise Randolph.

Elise is one of those people it's impossible not to like. He's passionate about the game and actually enjoys playing it.
Since he's playing on the frontlines he gets to know the effects of CCP's changes better than they do.

A vote for Elise is a vote for a CSM that plays like the rest of us, and can give CCP real feedback.

Elise is not just the one I will be voting for, but he is also a great CEO, a great FC and generally a great guy. I can personally vouch for his understanding of the EVE game mechanics, this guy has an insight into the game that surpasses the majority of EVE-players.

Elise is deffinatly worth voting for, his knowledge of eve is second to none.
He understands how the game works and is one of the most active, he has such a passion for this game.
He knows what needs to change, what needs to stay but most importantly what the people want.

Reasons why you should vote for Elise Randolph:

- He's the nicest guy. Like, really frickin' nice.
- My boy is wicked smaht.
- He's the best PvPer of anyone who has ever ran for CSM in any of its iterations including the current one.
- He plays the game. (This one is important and not all candidates can say this honestly)
- He is one of the best FCs in the game.
- He's done everything in EvE. Low-sec Piracy, Anti-Piracy. High sec wars. Industry (Including moon mining wololol) and 0.0.
- He flies and has knowledge of ships from Rifter to Drake/Titan (Same thing), you can't call this guy one-dimensional.
- He knows the game mechanics. Lots of people, 0.0 players in particular often are unaware of a large portion of these.
- He's really bad at Battlefield 3 and really good for your Kill/Death ratio.

For enemies of PL:

- While he's in Iceland he's not leading fleets that are killing you.

Voting for the candidate most likely to doomsday my shield-repping archon while I'm trying to save small towers with other people who are terrible at spaceships.

I'm a bit upset at the lack of taylor expressed thusfar in this thread, though.

Voting for Elise. This guy actually plays the game and knows the mechanics, more than we can say for other candidates out there.
