Eve Online: Commissioned Officer Edition

Hi, I'm thinking about buying EVE and I came across this deal http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=818 I am thinking about buying it off Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/Eve-Online-Commissioned-Officer-Pc/dp/B003VJID7E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328166739&sr=8-1 ) and just need a few things confirmed before I do.
Just a few questions:

  1. This offer was made in Nov 2010... Is it still valid?
  2. Can I add this to an existing trial account
  3. Will this give me an extra 30 days
  4. Will it still give me the bonus item

Please only respond if you are sure.

AFAIK it is valid.

"Unlike last year’s Special Edition, this version does not contain an electronic time code. This version uses a CD Key system. It cannot add game time to an existing account. It only starts a new account or confirms a trial account."

(however, if you want an answer that is absolutely sure, I suggest petitioning and asking CCP)

The offer containing the cerebral accelarator is not valid anymore AFAIK, believe the offer lasted untill somewhere nov. 2011 but not sure (best to contact CCP for real and trustworthy answer).

Same counts for adding the COE (Commissioned Officer Edition) to already existing trial account, not sure if it's possible but believe I read on forums that it isn't (again, contact CCP for real and trustworthy answer)

Using the code found in the CO Edition will convert your trial to a full account, add 30 days, and grant the cerebral accelerator booster.

However, the booster item itself carries a limitation that it can only be used on characters which are 35 or fewer days old - it is based only on character age and not on account time. Thus if you apply it to a character you created 2 weeks ago, you will not get the full duration of the booster.
