Morning all! Big smile

Thought I'd start this thread as no-one else has yet, so that we can discuss MD's particular needs on this front.

MD and CSM

Last year, we had several candidates canvassing MD votes and offering to put a pro-trader platform together in return - yet so far this year I'm only aware of one candidate who is doing so [Lucius Arcturus].

Discussing Trader Policies

As traders, we make the game economy work and so we need to make our opinions heard and ensure our votes count. This improves our own gameplay and everyone else's. But which policies should we endorse as a priority?

Discussing Trader-friendly Candidates

Which candidates do people recommend for MD on the CSM? I only know of one with a specific commitment to free-market capitalism.

Lucius Arcturus CSM thread

Should we officially endorse a candidate this year? If so, I recommend Lucius as he is a solid believer in capitalism and free trade Cool Kalrand doesn't seem to be going for a second attempt this year so what do people think?

I recall there's been also a relatively recent thread by a Goon person asking for our feedback as well (not sure how much just mongering votes - she posted on most forums).

Also, I don't understand why the linked guy had to put in evidence his Objectivism, which imo is an hopeful bubble, both irrational (despite its very foundations are about rationality) as it runs against how nature works and is misleading (the examples about traders as sort of rationally-selfish bubbles - almost monads just don't hold. I DO trade and if there's something extremely interwined and where there's an huge relationship of subduer vs subdued it's trading).
