Converting from Trial to Paid

Hey all. I have a quick question about transitioning from a trial to a normal account since the Rookie Help channel seems a bit... less than helpful on the topic.

I'm currently on the 21 day trial, and I can see that I'm going to be held back pretty quickly due to the trial restrictions, but I'd hate to lose out on my remaining time. If I upgrade my account, will I lose my remaining trial time, or will it just add to it?

And I guess that's another question. Can I convert my trial to a normal account with a PLEX instead of signing up for a sub?

Thanks!

You can indeed upgrade to a full account using a PLEX.

Any time you add game time to your account — be that via PLEX, ETC/GTC or credit card — the game time is appended to the current period. Thus you will get the remaining time of your trial, plus the 30 days of the PLEX, and having subscribed you will immediately be able to train the various skills that can not be trained on trial accounts such as «race» Industrial, various Science skills, etc.

Hope this helps.

note that if you PLEX the account (or happen to be logged in when you upgrade), you will need to log out/back in (AND potentially clear the cache) in order for the client to recognise your full-account status.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
