Here and there I see people complaining they want old missile names back. Personally I don't give a damn as I don't use them. But I've just wondered what if CCP renamed hybrid ammo and so I think I figured what was the problem in first place:

THE ORDER

If all missile types sorted always in the same order (like em/therm/kin/explo) and possibly by size then there wouldn't be confusion the renaming was supposed to fix.

Same goes with hybrids. CCP please hear me: if you're thinking about removing confusion, make the ammo to sort by distance bonus, damage bonus, damage type or combination of them. This way renaming will not be needed. Ever.

Edit: Actually same goes with AB/MWD. If they sorted in market/hangar/etc by meta level there would be less need to changing names.

I think they should change the description for the Depleted Uranium projectile rounds. Depleted Uranium isn't radioactive. It is called 'Depleted' for a reason. It has reached the end of its half-life and thus no longer gives off radiation. It is still very heavy, though.

Every isotope of uranium is radioactive. It just the 238 has very long half-life and thus from our perspective it emits very low radiation. But still emits.


I didn't like or dislike but I agree they were confusing.

Changing names to more consistent schema is what CCP did.

Changing sorting order to more consistent one is what I think would be better for everyone involved, except devs (as it would involve some dirty hacking in sorting routines).
