THE IRONY IS ABOUT TO MAKE MY HEAD EXPLODE

Apparently you may need to read this:

Irony (from the Ancient Greek εἰρωνεία eirōneía, meaning dissimulation or feigned ignorance)[1] is a rhetorical device, literary technique, or situation in which there is a sharp incongruity or discordance that goes beyond the simple and evident intention of words or actions. There is presently no accepted method for textually indicating irony, though an irony (punctuation) mark has been proposed.

Ironic statements (verbal irony) typically imply a meaning in opposition to their literal meaning. A situation is often said to be ironic (situational irony) if the actions taken have an effect exactly opposite from what was intended. The discordance of verbal irony may be deliberately created as a means of communication (as in art or rhetoric). Descriptions or depictions of situational ironies, whether in fiction or in non-fiction, serve a communicative function of sharpening or highlighting certain discordant features of reality. Verbal and situational irony are often used for emphasis in the assertion of a truth. The ironic form of simile, used in sarcasm, and some forms of litotes emphasize one's meaning by the deliberate use of language which states the opposite of the truth — or drastically and obviously understates a factual connection.

In dramatic irony, the author causes a character to speak or act erroneously, out of ignorance of some portion of the truth of which the audience is aware. In other words, the audience knows the character is making a mistake, even as the character is making it. This technique highlights the importance of a particular truth by portraying a person who is strikingly unaware of it.

Once your argument falls into the cesspool of grammatical corrections or particularly the proper conjugation of words, you have been defeated.

I was expecting you to at least put up a fight; but alas, I am more often disappointed than enlightened.

Well played Sir, well played. (extreme sarcasm here)

i was pointing out the dramatic irony of your statement that narcissism and sarcasm don't make a good csm candidate, bro you do realize mittens is the sitting chairman right?

but you missed that completely so i thought i'd point out some of your shortcomings at my language that you're butchering so well

I wholly endorse this guy. 1) I love his name, and 2) he annoys CEOs enough to get booted.

What else do you losers want? Someone who bad-talks Eve at teh drop of a hat (you know who I'm talking about)??

honestly i annoy pretty much everybody, all the time. there are like 5 people in eve that can stand me at all once they've gotten to know me, and i'm pretty sure a couple of those dudes are just being polite

which is strange because i'm honestly pretty amicable irl, i guess the greater internet ******* theory applies

This really is a tedious display of small mindedness. I hope you do not get on the CSM as the last person that behaved in the way you conduct yourself on the forums was that crazy Ankhesemt... who was an embarrasment. The CSM do not need any further public image setbacks.

Just oozing with charisma aren't you. I am not butchering the English language space-friend, I believe that was Drake; I was just pointing out aside from your petty outbursts against me, that the grammitical flaws of a statement on a forum don't retract from its ability to be commonly understood, or the fact of the argument said individual is trying to make.

Yes, I know Mittens is the CSM chair, and will more then likely have that spot again. Despite what you may think of him, he knows the portion of the game he's collaborating with CCP Devs about, and is generally an intelligent person. Please continue to inform us on your baseless hatred of the GoonSwarm culture though, I thoroughly enjoy reading up on others viewpoints of it.

proofread that for you. corrections are bolded. don't you have school today?

i don't hate goon culture. you might have me confused with someone else, someone who isn't knowledgeable about the part of the game they're campaigning for, someone who isn't intelligent, and someone who isn't tired of dealing with you. goodbye forever, space dude~

Resorting to Ad Hominem attacks now are we? Funny how you think you can dictate my presence on these forums.

an idea that i've come up with as a result of some discussion on reddit is that ecm could use a change: what about a stacking penalty on ecm modules? if 50 ecm drones weren't any more powerful than 10, there would be a lot less incentive for people to throw all of their ecm drones on the same target to permajam it. at the same time, if there were a stacking penalty on ecm modules, lots of dedicated ecm ships would be less powerful, so there's some breathing room to increase the strength bonuses on dedicated boats. my reasoning, people go out on roams, 20% of their fleet is logistics. nobody brings falcons anymore because it's more beneficial to bring some other class of ship. huginns, lachesis' and curses all have a place in pvp, but falcons/rooks aren't powerful enough to be useful, and that should change.

thoughts?

This could be the stupidest thing you've said in the whole thread. Both falcons and rooks can play a large role in small gang pvp. It being that you're a self-proclaimed "low sec pirate" it only seems right that you recognize the threat of a falcon + a good pilot. On a side note you have very poor communication skills if this is an attempt at being serious. Hardly someone I'd vote for to either speak on my behalf or dictate the future of Eve Online.

Good luck in the runnings.

well my point isn't necessarily that falcons and rooks aren't strong enough, they certainly are very powerful when used properly, my problem is that they just aren't a very attractive option compared to the other recons.

Arrow
curse makes a great nano/solo boat

Arrow
pilgrim is epic for soloing

Arrow
rapier/huginn have a place in just about any shield gang

Arrow
arazu/lachesis are becoming increasingly popular in shield kite gangs

Arrow
falcon/rook aren't fast enough to be useful in a shield kite gang, they're not durable enough to brawl, and it seems like in any other kind of fight it's more worthwhile to just bring another dps or logi
