Against All Authorities' [-A-] Official CSM Candidate


As a long standing member and leader of -A- I know every aspect of the game, from 0.0 to Jita, inside and out. Combining my expertise as a 17-year veteran of EVE online, and my background as a retired game designer of such famous games as Shaq Fu (1994) and Custer's Revenge (1982) I intend to make the tough choices and champion the changes that are unpopular, but need to be done in order to ensure Eve Online's survival into the 22nd Century.

My Platform:

  1. End Game Content for Highsec: I think that Eve Online's emphasis on 0.0 and pvp as the end game content of Eve alienates an entire arena of gameplay. What use are capital and supercapital class ships to me if all I want to do is run missions? I would use the CSM's considerable power to push for new tiers of high end capital and super capital class ships geared towards high-sec mission running and mining.

  2. Audio Alerts for Local: An important part of Eve Online is your ability to both find and avoid Player vs Player Combat. I would push for an audio alert when entities that you have marked as hostile enter system, ideally I would like the audio alert to begin when hostile entities are 2 jumps away from your current system. This allows people who are looking to engage in combat to more easily find each other, and for those who wish to avoid combat to more easily enjoy their game.

  3. Autofilter for Foul Language and Cuss Words: What sort of civilized game these days does not have the option for you to turn on a language filter. I think that if we plan to have eve accepted as a mature and civilized MMO for responsible adults, then we need to be able to suppress the less mature players

  4. An Arena System: I think WoW had the right idea when they instituted the arena system, too often are players who want to get into pvp turned off by the fact that they just get immediately blobbed. I think that we could attract more long term players by instituting a system for more honourable combat, that can be effectively ranked and scored.

  5. Protect Planetary Interaction from DUST514: We don't want some random guys on the PS3 hurting a primary source of income for many of our lower level players. Just because CCP thinks that we want to play with these guys doesn't mean we have to just lay down and take it.

  6. Nerf 0.0 Belt and Anamoly Ratting: Did you know that roughly 90% of 0.0 residents are actually bots. Large Sov alliances really on these bots for almost all of their support. They use these bots for large scale fleet fights, and support them with ratting belts and anomalies. If they suddenly can't support these bot accounts with plex then true 0.0 powers who are staffed by real people (like -A-) will be able to restore the balance to nullsec and smaller entities will actually be able to enter 0.0.

    7. I hope that you can see why -A- chose me as their candidate and why I am obviously the best choice for CSM7.

Do you really think so? He looks pretty legit to me. Maybe you're not old enough to remember, but "Custer's Revenge" was a pretty good game in its day.

I think you have some decent ideas. I do disagree with nerfing 0.0 money making any further. I think high sec should be nerfed to promote more pod pilots moving to lower security space to earn more money. With greater risk should come greater reward.
*Perhaps move higher reward incursions to Nullsec
*Other lower reward incursions in lowsec
*Nerf level 4 mission rewards in high sec.
* Level 4 missions in low sec remain as is
