Issues, Workarounds & Localization

Hello

Been meaning to try out Eve for a few years now but I heard you had to put quite some time into it and its alot different to other MMO's, anyway got some free time on my hands now and thought id have ago at the 14 day free trial. Unfortunately I have ran into a problem which I cant seem to resolve, I have created an account and downloaded the game, I log in and chose a race but when I click next to go to bloodline the game just crashes and I get the error CCP ExeFile has stopped working. I would have gone to the official forums but I cant make a post as I have no character. Ive been searching all yesterday and today to try fix this problem but to no avail, Ill list what ive tried so far and hopefully some of you may have some idea on what needs to be done.

- Uninstalling/Reinstalling
- Reinstalling graphics drivers
- reverting to older graphic drivers
- changing in-game settings (higher/lower)
- turning on/off SLi
- turning on/off second monitor
- using repair tool
- clearing cache with in-game option and deleting the folder
- running in safe mode
- running as admin
- running windowed/fullscreen
- Enabling/Disabling Load Staion enviroment (read it can cause crashes on startup)


System Specs:

Intel i7 2600k @ 4.2Ghz
2x Nvidia GTX 480 SLi
Asrock extreme 4 Gen 3
8GB Corsair xms3 RAM
Corsair AX1200

Hope someone can shed some light as my 14 day trial is running out and im very bored!

Thanks for all the suggestions but I've finally managed to fix it, found another thread on eve forums where people were experiencing the same problem. Its something to do with either the latest Nvidia driver 295.xx or the Physx driver a Dev posted so i reverted back to the latest WHQL driver after a cleanup of all the old Nvidia drivers.
and it seems to have worked, Success!
