What ship hulls would you like to see get a makeover next?

The maller looks awesome since it was updated as do the new paint jobs on the full ship list as a whole.

But what if any, do you think need a reworking of their hulls?

I vote for the Harbinger. Great ship, very versatile, but is not in keeping with the rest of the Amarian fleet.

Then I'd like to see an update to the Typhoon, it looks like a rusty brick, closley followed by the Apocalypse / Paladin. For me, the underside looks like a construction site.

What changes, if any, would you like CCP to add to the list for a facelift and which ships would you hate to see changed and why??

Some hulls are just low polygon and low quality. And they are mostly Minmatar and Caldari.

Low poly/low texture quality models that need total redos:

Typhoon
Stabber
Rupture
Bellicose
Scythe
Wreathe
Mammoth
Blackbird
Bantam
Condor (just use the new one you made, CCP!),

Bad model, redo it!:
Imicus

Weird one out:

Prophecy

This model looks like it was intentionally fattened with a vertical scale. I can't, for the life of me, figure out why. Make it less fat and it's fine. I could fix this model in 10 minutes in 3DS.

I'm not gonna count the noob ships which all need redoing because CCP has already redone them.

The Probe (and by extension, the Cheetah).

It's such an awkward-looking pile of crap. Easy fix: Swap it with the Minmatar Shuttle model, perhaps with a bit of resizing and a couple of tweaks.

Minmatar ships in general tend to alternate between badass (rifter, maelstrom, etc) and akward-looking heap of junk. The rifter is proof enough that a ship can look jury-rigged and rusted without looking ********.

I agree Typhoon should be top priority, also condor / crow would be more fun to fly if it looked abit more symmetric. The new condor model thats out there is player made but looks absolutely awesome Big smile

And yes prophecy is abit fat, still its one the best models in game.

Gallente hulls that need urgent love:

Imicus/Helios
Celestis/Arazu/Lachesis

No amount of motherly love can make the current models look good, even though the ships are great.

Caracal
Omen
Osprey
Blackbird
Moa
Vexor
Stabber
Condor
Imicus

Basically all the Caldari Cruisers. I would like to see the Tier 2 Cruisers get a design style similar to the Tech 3's.

CCP finally admitted they made it. They're probably waiting to put it in until the new missile launchers have been sorted.

Tempest because it's the only one that comes with it's own stand.

Imicus / Helios

Worst ship I've ever had the (dis)pleasure to sit in. It's just so ********, awkward, ill-conceived, ridiculous, fugly, cringe-worthy, embarrassing, but thankfully at least the Helios can cloak to hide its face... the face even a mother couldn't love. It looks like a robot riding a wheelchair leaning of a crutch, with buck teeth, head like a sock monkey and it seems to be screaming "WHYYYYYY??????"

Moa + its variants.

Space chicken that looks like it's muttering inanities to itself as it scuttles about the universe. I don't find it quite as disappointing and atrocious as the Imicus / Helios, but it's pretty close, and actually more ridiculous-looking, in that silly awkward way that doesn't make any sense. I hate the fact that the Gila is a Moa hull because it's so effing ugly, yet such a great ship when it comes to function.

Lesser offenders of the visual senses:

Celestis + variants. Guh, wtf are those supposed to be? Well, at least one of them can live mostly cloaked...
Probe + Cheetah. Almost endearingly clumsy-looking.
Bantam. Wat.
Bellicose. It's either angry or lolangry, but either way awkward.
Osprey + Basilisk. Meh.
Burst. Who ******* cares about this ship anyway, it's as boring visually as it is functionally.
Caracal. Why is it a tripod?
Avatar. I know it's too late to change the iconic Angry Mushroom that Is Angry, but seriously. It's a mushroom. Is that supposed to be a hint regarding the way some ship designs were conceived, happy shroom times at the devs'?

Also, I like how most of the ships mentioned in this thread are absent from the current list of ships in the ship viewer on the new website. Don't want the impressionable potential customers to see those, right? Roll Instead wait until they train up to use these ships, board them for the first time and proceed to dip their eyeballs in lye.

ninjaedit: yes, other good ships are absent as well, WTF is up with that anyway. But there are far more good ships present than bad ships, and bad ships seem to be mostly in the frigate and cruiser classes.

It might be a mushroom but it's the best looking titan.

The Minmatar one being the worst but only just.

I always thought that when constructing it they changed the guy in charge of building it from time to time and the new guy always starter to build the hull according to their own design. The end result is a ship, that looks like it's duct taped together from the pieces of several different ships and juryrigged to make it spaceworthy.

The Hulks textures could be a bit more aligned.

Indeed a lot of Minmatar models are in desperate need of an update.

Tempest, while i love the ship i always hated the looks, i remember back in 2003 when there was no preview and Battleships were just introduced from that small icon i could not figure out how it'd look and while saving up iskies to buy one i thought there is some sort of space construction array wrapped around the ship image.

Damn was i shocked when i eventually learned that the ship actually was that construction array with a duct-taped warp drive on it.

Also the Ragnarok, while i have no intention getting my char into a supercapital character coffin.
That ship model is a disgrace.

Remember the final episode of BSG when the Galactica folded on exiting FTL ?
Even the folded Galactica looked cooler.

And please stop glueing tons of solar panels around minmatar ships for no reason and give them properly secured cockpits that are integrated into the hull instead of putting the cockpits on weird flimsy poles that stick out from random positions.
