traveling in high sec with LOW sec status

my sec status is -3.9 so if I go 0.7 system I am warn to leave immediately. I have found I can travel there in my pod and in my rifter and am able to dock if I move quickly. I guess if I go slow they kill me? Can I travel quickly through these and higher sec systems in my BS? Can I dock or do station gun kill me fast?

BS is too slow, remember not only can concord police (or w/e they are) kill you, but so can players... so anyone is free to point and shoot you
however, station guns wont kill you that fast, so if you in a 0.7 system, and undocking only to jump into a neighboring 0.4 (or lower) system, you'll be fine

frigs, and most cruisers with some skill will make it through empire

I thought I had to be -5 for other players to shoot me, or global criminal. Other players do not shoot me in 0.5. Maybe my Tornado is fast enough.

For the record... when you have a low security status you are attacked by the local faction's police... not the station-gate guns or CONCORD.

With regards to flying your battleship through high sec...
generally speaking, it is possible... just not probable. Faction Police have a tendency to web and scram you, preventing you from warping off at all. You can fit nanofibers and inertial stabilizers... but battleships are simply too slow.

Wrong, you are attacked by faction police when your faction standings not security status drop below -5.0.

Wrong. CONCORD will never attack somebody unless they have global criminal countdown, UNLESS you are in CONCORD space in which case Concord *is* the faction police. Otherwise, the only enforcement is the empire navy, which is avoidable in sub-BS ships.

You could have +8 standing with an empire and still get shot by their navy just for entering a high sec system with a low sec status.

Fit 3 stabs and you're gold, Also if you have low faction standing if becomes even easier to move bs around because while the police will try and point you, the navy land first. This is good because the navy ONLY webs and nuets. However staying around for the police is pretty stupid.

Yes, until your sec status drops below -5, players cannot shoot at you, not even in the higher security classifications like 0.8 or 1.0.

So maybe to sum this up. Fit 3 stabilizer and use smaller fast ship and the station and gate gun not able to kill me no matter how my sec status?

My sec status often get below -5 and I want to go to higher sec systems to pick up the supply.

You can take Battleships through highsec as a -10 criminal if you fit them right.

The biggest ship that I have moved a significant number of jumps through H sec with was a rapier... I have heard of others doing it in BC and even I-stabbed BSes, but it is not advisable. Do it enough, and one day some random interceptor is going to point you long enough for the police to show up.

Before you go -5 (as it's easier) I would make an insta-dock (bookmark when you warp-to land at 0) in a cheap frig at the stations you plan to re-supply.

Be it players, police and/or glitches you can get tackled/shot/dead while waiting to dock, otherwise. Gate-to-gate isn't so bad but it's not fail-proof. For shinnies, I would consider having an alt or a friend/corpie to move such, if the potential loss of such would much of an issue. Not that I know about such things personally....Straight

I have been flashy red on and off for most of my EVE career, and I do not remember the last time I was above -2.

Important stuff (This will be changing soon, but for now, its valid)

Above -5.0? Other players take GCC for engaging you and will get concorded. Above this level, you only need to worry about the faction police who are NOT concord, they do NOT instaomgkill you, and evading them is quite easy. Anything cruiser sized (other than maybe some insane double plate/triple trimarked stuff) can simply pass through. Nano hurricanes are always easy for me, as if they DO lock before you warp, they web several seconds before they scram, which actually helps you warp much faster.

I have flown nano tempests through hisec with no issues; if youre flashy, fit a few stabs. They work vs the faction police as well as over eager hisec people. Ive flown a plated, trimarked tempest through hisec while i was flashy simply by fitting a couple stabs. With the help of the faction police and their webs, you warp fast, even in a ship like this.

Just dont be stupid, have instas from trade stations if you're flashy (or better yet, an alt) and do NOT dock in hisec unless you absolutely have to. Undocking is always the most dangerous time, as you will get pointed an annoying amount of the time, and if youre beyond docking radius, its bye bye ship.

Have fun!

A threshold I've found useful is that in most ships, you need to align and warp in 5-6 seconds or less or the faction police gets on your ass. Fit inertia stabilizers or nanofiber internal structure to help with that. Stuff with very heavy tank will not make it, either because it aligns too slowly (plated battleships/BCs), or because its signature radius is too huge (Drake).

Maybe do some research before posting next time because ShahFluffers is correct - Faction police DO shoot you if your sec status is too low for that systems security level. It doesn't only happen due to low faction standing.

True Story. I made an insta-undock (clever, right?) but was pwned in my Stealh Bomber (nano, poly rigs etc.) on the spot while aligning to gate --- which I wasn't so clever about checking was at least a 90-degree turn. Not sure if stabs would of saved the glass cannon but a quick enter-warp would have.

ETA: This got me to thinking that results will vary among pilots regarding their navigation skills too.
