Shield tanked for class 4-5 WH with supporting spider tank for non caldari ships.

We run class 4 wh with a number of tengu's and it goes well.

But what about the non caldari pilots we may be looking at introducing into the WH?

For Mimnitar the sliepnier is a solid ship and they tend to have decent shield tanks.
For amar....what ship can fit into this fleet concept?is it possible for something non battle ship sized?
For gallentai..what ship?can an ishtar shield tank?the domi?

Requirments for the fit would be a really good shield buffer and decent damage out to 100km. They don't need remote rep as we have that covered with tengu's.

Any suggestions?

Two-tengu can clear anything a c4 offers up. One tengu **can** but it’s largely academic because it’s so damn slow.

Given this, and the propensity for sleepers to shift their damage at regular intervals, it’s unlikely that any ship in a largeish fleet is gonna take a heap of damage for very long. Most likely they will get targeted and shot-at for a while and then the short-attention-span sleepers will move on. Some ppl have suggested that sleepers will preferentially target certain ship types or ship fits … I’m not sure but am open to being convinced of that.
So if your noob w-holers fit decent buffer tanks, keep away from scrammer / neuters, and have some backup repper support available for when they do get a bit too much sleeper attention, I reckon you all should be fine.

As for all those other ships … yeah, sure, if you really feel so restricted. It’s up to you, but if your guys are looking to some serious w-space PvE then training towards a decent tengu does not take terribly long … and if they’re flying that other stuff they’re prolly partways there with many of the support skills anyway.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Your biggest challenge with other race's ships is going to be damage projection at range if you don't want to use BS. I would also think BC's will take more damage than the tengu's due to sig size, so you may not be able to keep them repped. Best it to try and see how it goes, although loosing a sliep may not be that much fun.

Apoc, Navy Geddon, Mega (yes, you can shield tank them), Tempest, Mael, Domi, Gila, Ishtar works just fine if they get 3 or more reps from Tengus.
