I don't understand how other people are having so many issues with their systems, my setup is about 2 years old now and I'm not having these problems I hear about on the forums.

Because of 2 things:

1. There are people with gaming rigs that are older than 2 years. Esp if we are talking about people with multiple rigs.

2. There's no reason to have it switched on since it doesn't add any functionality what so ever.

I don't hate WiS in any shape or form. I'm actually looking forward to see what functional use CCP might create from the framework they have released so far.

But currently it's just a tech demo, and frankly, a quite bad tech demo. Come on, we've seen better tech demos of a single character moving in a single enviroment and with actually working UI coming out for several years.

In my (not very) humble opinion, what CCP did wrong here was the decision to remove a working environment (as in the old docked view) and replace it with something completely different that they both had already promised that they wouldn't do and did (since they've been doing this for a while) knew would be riddled with more or less wierd bugs.

Or to put it in RP.

I'm a capsuleer for Pete's sake, I want to make the decision when I leave my comfy pod myself, and not when some marketing droid decide that I want too.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

OFF

It runs fine on one account, but running two with both on it gets iffy if both are in station and also because docking and undocking takes considerably longer with it on. Actually with it off, its faster than even old ship spinning so in a way docking and undocking was improved with incursion thanks to the off feature.

I have nothing against it, I think its a cool concept but like already mentioned, it doesn't actually do anything but look pretty and frankly I just don't need more pretty, I need more performance.

The reality of Eve is that, if you don't love it like it is today, you should probobly go ahead and unsub.

I would like to have it on, but when running courier missions it makes an unnecessary delay so it went off.

I have it disabled.

As soon as I have a second client open in window mode and this caracter is docked (WiS on) I get a very noticable UI reaction delay in the first client when in space. Very annoying.

Also the lack features within the CQ (or lack of the ability to meet other characters and interaction with them)
AND the missing features of the old ship spinning screen (double click on ship opens cargo etc.) make the current CQ ablsolute obsolete.
The bad shadows on the face of the characters etc. and the overall bad performance (relative to other games; it's only one simple room and the hangar!) makes the CQ also obsolete for me.
I don't want to walk to the right edge of the room/balcony and face the character in the right direction just so I can look at my character without having the feeling I have to puke right now.

Anyway. The '2 clients at the same time' problem is solved for me atm. because my Alt is unsubbed since last week.
Game time of my main char ends in November.

Hope you fix the shadows, increase the performance, introduce the ability to see other characters and being able to interact with them, bring the missing features of the old ship spinning screen back (not so much the ship spinning itself) and make the WiS content optional through the UI (meaning docking -> ship spinning -> 'Leave POD' button -> WiS).

Off for many reasons.

It adds nothing to the game
As a protest against CCPs wasted development on this crap
As a protest against the fact my (decent) laptop can't run the new client even with CQ off (was fine before, even in space)
To spare my PC undue load

If I wanted to beta test WoD or any other game I'd sign up to, I haven't because I want to play Eve Online, you know, that spaceship game that I actually pay for

I hate CQ just as much as any other guy, but how do you protest by locally turning them off?

It's not that Hilmar has a huge panel in his office with little red and green lights, displaying logged in players and who of them has turned CQ on or off.

Luckily my new notebook is able to cope with it.
And as CQ is espected to expand """soon(tm)""", i will get used to it now.

Turned Off.

1. It literally adds nothing to my gameplay experience.
2. It adds to graphic card load and spins up the fans.
3. Its horrible for multi accounting (even louder fans)
4. I loathe the concept of the NeX store and CQ as a display cabinet offends me (I wish I could turn off the NeX button too)

Do you really think CCP don't monitor how many clients are disabling it? Do you think they don't monitor the uptake of every new expansions new content to see how well they are doing?

In times like these CCP look more to what the players do than what they say, I think a significant number will have elected to turn it off.

On on my gaming rig, off on my laptop. Considering turning it off on my gaming rig until they put the old window back with the click to go to the CQ as has been alluded to by the devs. I'd have done it already but I don't love door, I love lamp though.

My rig doesnt have any problems running it (although the fans get a fit whenever I enable it), but whats the point? I actually prefer :door: to badly lighted avatar standing in closet.

I seriously doubt CCP even has the ability to check if players turn it on or off - as for monitoring the expansions success, I guess they just use NeX sales and subscription trends as a measure.

I'm glad we cleared that up...

As for me, I happen to have CQ running on my main rig, even though I've just been logging in to update my cues recently. Truth is that it adds zero functionality at the moment. Furthermore, I simply do not understand why anyone would buy NEX items for a single player environment. Hint, hint CCP, you'll sell a lot more clothes if you give us a product that we can use them in.

I really hope that CCP fixes the skewed avatar problem: my 'toons look great in the caracter creator, not so much in the CQ.
