Is it possible to be in postive standing with the four empire factions simultaneously without taking any skills into account?
If no would it be possible taking skills into account.
If yes how on earth is it done :S

I do believe it's possible, but I'm not exactly sure what is involved with it though. Others have done it/calculated it before and I don't have any reason to doubt that. I think it involves not accepting any missions where you shoot any empire faction ships and doing missions for factions outside the 4 empires who are positive towards some empire factions. This allow raising the empire standings without the negative faction changes you get by directly working for the empire faction. I've not done it personally or calculated it though, so I can't really guarantee it. I don't think there is any reward or reason for doing it though, so I don't see why you would bother balancing them so carefully.

Personally I thinks it's better to just have a high corp/agent standing available within every empire and just avoid letting the faction standing drop below -5.0. That high corp/agent standing assures you have access to high level misions within every empire faction, so you can easily raise low faction standings, if it becomes an issue.

Yes you can have positive standings with the 4 main factions at the same time, both without skills (harder though) and with skills (more easily as -0.01 can be turned into positive values)

There are 2 things that will contribute towards all round positive standings towards factions:

1.) Don't shoot other faction ships in missions, so if you play Caldari and have to shoot Gallente ships, decline the mission (can do that once every 4 hours for an agent without standing loss). Usually have multiple agents close together that if you have too you can move to another if you can't decline a mission again without standing loss.

2.) Run missions for multiple corps that are part of multiple factions. So if you only run missions for, for instance Caldari Navy you won't get anything but Caldari standings. And every storyline mission you do (again I will take Caldari, as I mainly run caldari missions) you will get standings for Caldari while hurting Gallente standings. So you have to find a balance between multiple corps/faction agents to get boosts from all 4 empires, keep in mind there are non-Caldari agents you can use in Caldari space so you don't have too move around every single time.

Sisters of Eve are a good faction to run missions for to get standings up with everyone iirc.

'faction standing repair plan'

It's entirely possible to have positive standings with all empire factions. It just takes effort and time. Avoid anti-faction missions. Cycle between each of the factions.

You gain more for the main than you lose from the anti-faction on storyline missions (as long as it's not an anti-faction mission)

Correction: Sisters of Eve is a good faction to run missions for that will slowly increase your standing with Gallente and Minmatar while decreasing your standings with Amarr and Caldari even more slowly.

The derived effect on faction standings depends on the relative size of the factions and their standings with each other. SoE has high postitive standings with Gallente and good standings with Minmatar, but it is a much smaller faction. Therefore SoE has a decent positive effect on Gallente and a small postive effect on Minmatar standings. SoE has slightly negative standings with Amarr and Caldari. Because of SoE's small size, and the almost neutral standings, SoE missions have a very small negative effect.

The following multipliers apply to your standings gains with SoE:
Gallente = x 0.48
Minmatar = x 0.15
Caldari = x -0.015
Amarr = x -0.06

There is no faction that offers missions that will increase your standings with all factions. In theory, working for InterBus or CONCORD would increase your standings with all the empire factions. However, neither of these factions have any storyline agents, and therefore in practice there is no way to gain standings with all of the empire factions at the same time. If you gain standings with on empire faction, you will lose standings with another. Mind you, the rate of loss is lower than the rate of gain, so is possible to have possitive standings with all of the empire factions. AFAIK, your base standings will level off around 4 if you work equally for the empire factions and avoid killing their ships.

In theory the best you can do without skills is +5.0 towards all, as the main opposing faction is -5.0, however in practice that isn't realistic.

Skills makes it easier, and increases the maximum to 5.0 + (10 - (5.0)) * (5 * 0.04) = 6.0 with Connections 5.

You can certainly be positive to all, but 3 out of 4 is easier, and allows you to get into the 6.67 region for 100% yield on reprocessing, or broker discounts.

I'm positive to Amarr and Caldari, neutral with Gallente (at the moment at least), and slightly negative to Minmatar. I try to keep the negatives higher than -2.0
