So, what is wrong with these images...?

These images can be seen at the new website... but, something is quite wrong with them:

Ye kool miner! You can be!

Bloodthirsty Pirate! Yarrrr I are!!

Sleek Trader is Sleek... Can you beat'er?

Da Bounty Hunter! Pew pew pew!

Now, here we could use a spoiler function.... or a font color function...

But these being the forums they are, I will share the answer openly:

What is wrong with these images is that noone is able to have an avatar that looks like them, as all of them sport customisation options not available in Tranqulity.

Namely:

- That cool men's coat... nowhere to be seen, not even Sisi
- Arm tattoos (should had been relased after Incarna... wonder why they didn't)
- "Structure" woman dress... on Sisi since May 2011, ETA for Tranquility not available

Just saying.

Moaning about the lack of items in the NeX puts you in a very small, niche group of players.

Maybe CCP wanted to release them through the NeX store which they are now too afraid to do because NeX and MT seem to have become taboo in CCP's books.

And tbh I think they shouldnt release them at all if they're planning to use NeX.
Would love to have those things without NeX though.
But only after proper content that adds to / improves gameplay.

I didn't even mentioned NEx, so what are you talking about? Tattoos are not NEx items and certainly avatar customization goes beyond NEx store.

BTW, one of the most unnoticed changes in Crucible, if not the most unnoticed, was that they added extra make up colors for blush and lipstick. Not even the patch notes mentioned it...

The real questions is, why does the miner look more badass than the pirate? Big smile

Besides that, yes, I would like to have those options on Tranquility.

NO WAY! *goes to check*

Okay well... I too, like playing space barbie from time to time and more customization/personalisation of ANY in-game feature is a good thing

Confirming that this is totally serious spaceship business and should be brought up at the next CSM meeting first thing.

No game company should ever be allowed to have artwork on their website that isn't taken directly from the game!

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

I'd give my left arm for a cowboy hat.

Snake skin boots would also be nice.

Greetings capsuleers,

Considering that we spend our immortal lives naked and floating in a control pod where none may see us, could you please explain how clothing and appearance are pertinent in any way?

CSM urged ccp to save the assest for when they release NeX 2.0 since CSM got an earful on how ccp thinks they screwed up on MT and may try a different approach.

Dust 514's CPM 1 Iron Wolf Saber Eve mail me about Dust 514 issues.

We are primates and are psychologically wired to judge based upon appearence, specially in social behavior.

This is why appearence is very pertinent; in case that you doubt it, just go check The Mittani's avatar in the full body viewer and tell us wether your respect for him takes a hit or don't.

that first coat is available but not in that colour I think. (God fashion talk on eve forums meh)

although I do support the idea that more assets should be available for avatars I would suggest they wait on a better way to distribute those assets (read: down with NeX/Aurum).

Make them available via agents or deep space complexes, or better yet, at actual tatoo parlours in certain stations.

I bet that tatoo parlor of a serpentis station can supply you with an extremely "pirataty tatoo". If you have the standing and the isk (not aurum).
