Player Features and Ideas Discussion

Sorry for the lack of a catchy title. But what i am suggest is:

A: pretty simple to implement
B: exactly what CCP is looking for
C: players will love it

Since the comming of corp bookmarks ive been thinking of making another folder like that. The folder should be named "favoured bookmarks" and in that folder you should put the most important locations (HQ, tradehub and Pos for example)

Lets keep it simple and say that only 3 of those bookmarks per system can be put in that folder.


how does it work ?


The moment you undock or jump into system you "mouse over" your ship to activate the "favoured bookmarks folder"
Activating it pops up a menu, a radial menu that forms a circle the more bookmarks there are in. (so there can be more than three)
each button of that menu looks like a little logo that has the looks of a glass pane. every single one of these logo's is a bookmark where you can simply click to warp or mouse over it to choose other options.


What does this add ?

1. it adds to the promise of CCP to make the game more like it's trailers. Because this is what we know of from certain trailers.
2. Navigating our way in a system is not only made more easy, it looks awesome too
3. the war on clicks his being fought by this too since you dont need several submenu's to navigate to what you nearly always use in that certain system.


So, can you name something negative?

Yes, it's utterly useless for systems you just warp through. It is used for those systems you tend to lurk in. Ex. I have a base, hq, favoured mine spots and a pos in 1 system. My favoured bookmarks would be the base and pos for me to quickly go to. too much messing around little popup sub menu on sub menu made me miss-click way too much.
