Dear MD, please help me make an educated guess about "orders" in general.

When I am looking at the numbers of "orders" in the price history I always wonder about how to make an educated guess on how many of those fulfilled orders are actuall sell and actuall fulfilled buyorders.

I guess for certain items that have to be replaced, due to people blowing them up like T2 oder Drones the percentage of sellorders among the total orders fulfilled should be higher I suppose? Maybe even 70-90% of them ?

On missionloot I can imagine the opposite, but does anyone have any other tip for me - how to better guesstimate?
Furthermore it will also depend on if the item is on a high or low I suppose?

Any food for thought highly appreciated!

Check whether daily average price is closer to buy order prices or sell order prices.

Mission loot, except meta 4, will likely only go at the buy order price. The price set for most trash mission loot is set right below the standard refine rate in materials for someone with crappy refine skills. Its a great way for an industrialist to get cheap material with perfect refine skill. Most mission runners use either meta 4 or t2 variants so the meta0-3 only sell to people on a budget or don't know better.

Exception to this is ammo, charges, and certain drones which are needed to make the faction/t2 variant so those you can place at the sell price. However, remember to factor in your broker/sales tax cost. If you have no trade skills you are looking at possible 1% + and 1% sales tax added to your sell order.
