Nothing Comes To Mind
Snuffed Out

To my fellow EVE Players, current CSM members and CCP games:

After many years of playing this game, battles fought, friends made and lost, I would like to announce myself entering the running for 7th Council of Steller Management. I started EVE back in 2007; like many people that start this game, I began as an industrialist before discovering PvP as where I really belong. I've played the role of everything from a hired gun in high-sec, to a dirty pirate in low-sec, to doing a lot of foot-soldiering in large null-sec alliances. EVE is a hobby, one which brings together many people from distant parts of the globe, all with the mind set of making and accomplishing their own specific and unique goals. This is what makes EVE Online unique and interesting; I aim to keep it as such, and not have it drift off into the realm of "World of Space Ships."

Imagine, if you will, a universe with a group of people dedicated to listening to your thoughts, and forwarding good ideas to people with the power to change them. In that nature, I keep this a simple and honest representation of who I am, and the kind of forward thinking ideals I represent. I spend my time in EVE talking to anyone that has a moments time, and a breath to speak their mind. I welcome any mails, conversations, or simple waves in local, because at the end of the day New Eden belongs to all of us, and all of it's capsuleers deserve to be heard.

In the spirit of keeping things simple, I will pick the top four issues/ideas that I have that I would push if I were elected to office. A full list of my ideas or issues I stand by can be found at the bottom of the page, along with a link to my website.

1.) Capital bumps on jump in. Jumping several capitals to the same cyno causes lots of bumps on jump-in, making any sort of mass logistics a major hassle, and makes hotdropping with short-range Dreads nearly useless with their awful tracking. The placement script needs to be modified so that two capitals jumping to the same cyno do not land within bumping range of each other.

2.) Planetary interaction: It is far too hard to find other players PI on a planet, making it difficult and time-consuming to discern if it it's even worth attacking and replacing a customs office on a planet. They should have larger icons so it's easier to assess how many different players have PI on any given planet.

3.) It's important for pilots to remain interested, and for them to also have an actual reason to live where they do in the universe. The EVE sandbox created by CCP is a fantastic place to build a life for your character, but many systems in New Eden remain unpopulated for lack of usefulness or any real incentive to live there. It's time to give these systems potential for growth by giving people an incentive to spread out and populate the quieter areas of EVE and possibly adding new areas.

4.) The decision to self-destruct a ship is far too easy to make for the aggressed ship (usually a capital), as it generates no loss mail for the aggressed party and leaves behind no loot for the killers. Also, the ship self-destructing can cancel at any time with zero repercussions, leaving literally no reason not to self-destruct. Too many hard-fought capital fights leave no traces and no loot for the winning party. The self-destruct mechanics need to be altered in a way that still has some reward to the winning party (in terms of KM or loot) but not as big of a reward as if the ship had not self-destructed.

A full list of points, ideas, as well as a more detailed outline of what I could do for you as a member of the Council of Stellar Management are available by clicking the link at the bottom of the page. I am committed to be an accurate and faithful respresentative of the interests of the common capsuleer. Thank you for your time, and I hope to see your comments and mails concerning the subjects I have outlined, or some of your own questions and ideas you might have that could be addressed by the CSM. Vote Starconquer212! Why settle for the lesser evil?
