So i see a few posts about people getting 'excited' about the winter expansion. Has CCP released any features details?
Or are you getting excited about something you dont know what your getting excited about? What?

Oh and we used a little officer mods. KIDDING! We used a lot of officers mods, A LOT! Because we don’t :censored: around in low-sec.

Thats not really the plans for the winter expansion. Do you really think they are fearless enough to not give highsec,wormholes,faction warfare and lowsec anything? One more time?

CCP rules state that all new expansions must start with the letter I

The winter expansion will consist of all the things we should have had in the summer expansion. We'l get the real winter expansion next summer.

Basically, the winter expansion will more than likely be rolling more Incarna features that should have been rolled out with Incarna. How much is anyone's guess.

There's also the awaited the supercap nerf. More than likely they'll removing all valuable ore from w-space at the request of some of the whiners that it's "affecting the market" (when removing mining bots would do far more, but the Band-Aid solution is always CCP's preferred choice). And they'll more than likely be removing all ice from Empire and sending it to 0.0, which will then make running a POS in Empire prohibitively expensive and pretty much pointless because of the exponential increase to the price of fuel this will cause. This is speculation on my part, of course, but those are all easy changes to implement, so I can see them making those happen in the shorter term. The winter expansion - aka Incarna 2.0 - is as good as any of an update for that.

Otherwise, until they make a formal announcement, anyone's guess is about as good as it gets.

According to the Dev blog, new T3 bc's? Ugh Not a bad idea, but where's the other things people have been asking about for *years*? Like bringing optional engine trails back, ship damage (and not just a plume of fire when you're hull hits 20%), etc. I think we need to stop using stop-gap measures, and fix/update/change what needs to be fixed/updated/changed.

They are not final and are probably being tested. But it gives you an idea of where the winter expansion is going.
