ISSUE: It's impossible to access inspace resources remotely, and this is making pos-based industry a pian.

FIX: Make accessing inspace items available. Enable us to start jobs remotely, which items are located at a POS.

---
ISSUE: Moving 1000+ BPs from one division to another at pos labs makes the client too laggy.

FIX1: improve item handling
FIx2: Make labs able to handle jobs from other storages at the same POS (would be better).

--
ISSUE: Meta/tech information is missing from a lot of items, this makes ordering by those columns not really useful.

FIX: add meta/tech info for all items.

ISSUE: Incredibly annoying trying to sort through all the hundreds of items in Item tab in station
FIX: In station's item hold, allow option to create separate "boxes/folders" in the items tab for example:

  • Ammo
  • Salvage loot
  • Alternate mission modules
  • Refined minerals

(sort of like folders in Places tab of People & Places)

Issue: general managment or excessive stuff is a pain

Fix: perhapse a windows explorer type system. i.e. a list of expandable "folders" (which coudl well be storage containers of sorts which you have to buy to "add a folder") on the left and a window with contents on the right. would make draging and droping items from one can to another a lot easier.

issue: if you have more people living out of a pos or staion than there are corp hangar tabs, they often have to share hangar tabs with other people (which makes theft from corp mates pretty easy), or put up a heap more hangar arrays to assign enough tabs for everyone (which clutters up pos's).

Fix: allow creation of named partitions of X size in corp hangars. they should be specific to the particular station/pos/ship that there setup for and have access rules which allows you to assign each partition to whoever you want. That way, new members could be given their own tab in the corp hangar, and as they progress through the corps ranks, they could be upgraded into larger partitions etc. would make it easier for corporations living out of a pos in a WH, for example, to ensure people aren't going to be ripped off by another corpie, and their pos isn't going to be so full of hangars, its impossible to land a capital ship inside the shields

could also benefit from the explorer tree idea from issue one. Could be hard to impliment, but hey, thats why they pay you guys the big bucks.

1, Make all inventories searchable by item type (ships, modules, drugs, minerals, whatever types you can think of) from the assets tab.

2. Make items remotely stackable from the assets tab.

3. Make items items remotely reprocessable (subject to a variable degree of set rate taxation determined by the alliance holder of player owned outposts and a fixed rate from npc owned stations. For instance, if I'm down in delve and I don't want enemies reprocessing all their **** and selling the mins remotely, this should be set to 100% tax).

4. Get rid of the 'browser bookmarks' under the submenu of accessories in the open eve menu tab. If I need to use anything other than the browser bookmarks there, I have to delete all of them to access my calculator for instance. Horrible implementation there.

Two way to fix and both are needed. Both are close at hand and already in the game, sorta.

Sortable window that has tabs (queues) that are exactly like the market categories, and can even look like the market if you want. The tabs are only populated if you have items that fit into that particular market-type category. (looks a lot like buying items with the limit set to station except the right-hand window shows your items and not market prices.)

Second:
Please make a sortable window by ship fitting slots. High slot items in one tab, med in another, etc.

Would make fitting a for a new ship or refitting much easier by knowing what you have on-hand to fit, and what you need to buy.

Issue... Having to repackage and stack items all the time gets a bit annoying (although not an actual problem)

Fix - Make undamaged items automatically repackage when placed in the station.

I have a minor cosmetic suggestion that may be unrelated to what you guys are working on or expecting. It is inventory related though.

General situation/Issue: Games sometimes have a hard time giving items substance. They are after all just abstract objects in a simulation. In EvE the substance is provided through colourful icons and descriptions.

Solution: Having simple sounds when manipulation an object can add a lot of substance and immersion. This could be added when dragging an object between different containers, but might get annoying when organizing objects within the same container. Simplicity rules in this case. A simple 'pling', 'plonk' or 'thump' usually works well depending on the object. Giggling exotic dancers would probably be over the top and annoying.

I saw someone mention bookmark management, but not sure if that falls under what yall are touching.
Posting anyhow.

Problem: Sharing Bookmarks with alliance members. we live in w-space and usually one or two people scan, then we all have to get a member from each corp to have a pow-wow to exchange all the BMs

Fix: add an alliance tab to the BMs, with a subfolder for each member corp. that way each member corp can share bms with the alliance and everything keeps organized. executor corp ceo will have global rights over alliance bookmarks.

Not sure how this falls into play, but

Issue - t2 versions of some items look the Same as their t1 counter parts
I.E. t2 missiles look the same as t1 and when fitted show no tech marker, so you have to physically check what you have fitted.

Fix - color rendering. I.E. with missiles, t2 fury and t2 precision should be distinguishable from t1 and the counter t2 variant.
The simple way to fix this is rendering t1's a solid color, t2 fury, the front half is colored showing that's where all the power is and t2 precision render the back half the related color.

Being able to simultaneously move equal quantities of multiple items between windows.

You'd select your stacks of the different items, hold shift to specify quantity like you normally would, then drag and release to the destination. When asked for the quantity, that value is applied to all the selected items (or the maximum it can allow)

Not being able to do this drives me nuts.

Example:
I've 6 types of missiles & I want equal amounts of all of them.
I select the missiles from my source, hold shift and drag them to their destination.
The value I then enter is applied to all the missiles, removing a significant number of clicks I have to do.

THIS cant be posted often enough.

Issue: Selling items one by one - takes too much time to sell all that mission junk...

Fix: Allow us to select multiple items with mouse and then click new button(s) on hangar window that allow us "sell to market" or "create contract". Clicking "sell to market" button would give a pop up that would ask if you're sure you want to sell all those items for current market orders that are available at that station (you can then disable this warning permanently if you want). The next pop would list the items and the price you would get from each selected item type (for quick glance) and a total sum at the bottom with sell and cancel buttons.

if i drag a quantity of units that exceed my ships cargo in the cargo symbol in the fitting panel it will tell me its too big and wont offer to shift the maximum im allowed in my ships cargo - with me so far ? :)

if i open my ships cargo into a window format and try the same thing it will automatically offer to move the maximum amount of units possible for the selected ship makes sense?

can you make it so there is no distinction between the two loading methods

thanks 07

ISSUE: A list of 300 different modules, ammoes, and things

SOLUTION:

An automatic filtering system like the overview. Items I'm interested in get sorted into nice, neat folders and everything else is dumped in an "other" folder. In addition, set up in a way that I don't have to sort each new Noctis load every time I unload, the new stuff is automatically picked up by the filters.

Ideally, the query system would be fairly rich, allowing for saved, nested searches.

all

drones
+ AND T1
+ AND T2

ammo
+ AND projectile AND T1
+ AND heavy missile AND kinetic AND faction
+ AND frequency crystal AND (faction OR T2)
++ AND damage

meta(4)
+ AND heavy missile launcher
+ AND artillery
+ AND auto-cannon
+ AND energized adaptive nano membrane

A list of searches like this letting me click each one and only pulling those items that fit the filter out of the station inventory. A single item may come up in multiple filters without having to apply tagging meta-data to every stack.

Issue - searching for an item in the LP store can be quite tedious at times, expecially if you can't figure out how to use the fitler.

Fix - Make the LP store the same layout as the market.
So this way you can sort through the items easier, will have a search option, and will have a save items option to make it easier to find commonly purchased items.

Issue: Using an X-Large Ship Assembly array as a big container.

Fix: Add to the game and Capital Corporate Hangar Array.

Issue: Hard to manage items on corporate hangar array

Fix: Add the ability to make sub-divisions/ Folders in the tab. So we can name each one with the name of a player and he will not need to Place Cans all over everywhere making that mess.

Issue: Hard to manage ships on Ship maintenance array. And take eons to load everything...

Fix: Add the ability to make sub-divisions/ Folders and add tabs. So we can name each one with the name of a player and he will not need to Place Cans all over everywhere making that mess.

Issue:
There are only a few rather tedious ways to add items to the market quickbar.

Fix:
Make it so I can add items from my existing market orders to the quickbar.
BONUS POINTS if it can be done by drag'n'drop.
SUPER COMBO BONUS POINTS if drag'n'drop from my existing orders can be used to link the item in chat.

Issue:
Posting bookmarked links in chat requires either opening the link in browser or opening bookmark options.

Fix:
Let me drag'n'drop bookmarked links from the Eve menu list into chat.

Possibly already mentioned but as a Salvager I wouldn't mind the ability to filter items by their UI; or even be able to separate items temporarily (items to be sold / items to be reprocessed / items to be kept) without the need of an entire station container.

A tag at the bottom of the item (much like the T2/3 and Faction/Deadspace tags in the upper left) to note it's meta-level would even work, but I'd imagine that'd be pretty resource heavy.

Mostly just a thought on streamlining the item process.. Not sure if that applies here..

Suggestion:

When inventory is in details mode, have a column with current ISK market values to make it easier to see what the values are without having to look them up one by one.

Having a market link button at the bottom of each item information page is nice but is still very tedious work identifying looted item value from mission drops or other.
