Hello, once again I have a wee question regarding scanning. If I scan in a system and see a signature, is that signature a permanent feature? On a related note, if I scan it to 100%, bookmark it and then visit it to mine/rat/salvage etc, will that system always contain that signature or is it worth me scanning again a few days later? By that I mean; do I need to move on to a new system after each scan or will new signatures spawn in the system?

I had a magnometric site the other day that yielded next to nothing and I wasn't sure if that meant that the system was no longer worth scanning.

once you've finished a signature, it despawns.

Woo! CSM XI!

also, any sig will despawn at the next downtime 72 hours after it was first warped to, even if no one runs it.

I see. And then presumably there are new signatures spawning in systems periodically too, so it would be worth me re-scanning a system even if it was unproductive yesterday?
