You don't usually scam on the first time around and on such a small amount. You get more loans while each time asking a little more and repaying them. It's called building a rep. Then when you've secured the unsecured 1-5billion loan for your carrier pilot you pull the trigger and walk away laughing and sell the character.

Forgot to check back on this thread, but looks like you got your loan, I'd have wanted 100% collateral anyway, so moot.
