Hello Capsuleers and EVE-O players.

I wanted to hear if any of you have any experience running missions in NPC space (My region is curse, with a few blue alliances.) I live in Curse atm, and i want to be able running Level 4 missions, but still, i dont know what i should use to run the level 4 missions without losing too many ships. I got an Alt that can scout if i need to jump 1 or two jumps.

I can fly Amarr ships and i can fly Caldari ships, both races is tech 2 Cruisers, but no rails please. Also i can fly both the legion and the tengu.

Hope someone can help me out. Big smile

When I am out in empire space I am often running missions in Curse - either pirate epic arc or 'normal' lvl4 agent missions. I have no blues in the area and have not found that to be a particular problem - simply assume everyone in the system / region is trying to kill you and you're not likely to be terribly disappointed.

Locations?

Doril - decent lvl4 agent and very good access to hisec. Ajacent systems not too busy, so a mission-running good location. IIRC only one agent tho, so a wait if you find yourself wanting to decline a second mission.
K-QWHE - hub of the angels pirate arc. Very busy system with very active, although variably competent, PvP community. Also some decent lvl3/4 agents very near.
G-0Q86 / HLW-HP area - heaps and heaps of agents. Moderately active PvP communities. Much deeper nullsec, so a bit more of a hassle to get goodies out for hisec selling ... if that's what you want.

Ships?

I usually dual-box a pair of tengu. One is setup with nullifier and covops cloak, as well as some tank and DPS, and acts as scout when I have to move systems to run the missions. The other is a plain old 6HML DPS tengu.
The toughest DPS mission, so far at least, is the DED/CONCORD lvl4 Blockade ... and neither tengu has any major trouble with that.

Attitude?

NPC nullsec mission-running is, IMHO, a bit like w-space ... care and patience are important for success. There will be times when the main routes and systems are bubbled and camped into oblivion. I can probably get thru with tengu, but I rarely see the risk as being worth it. If this is the case, sometimes I hang around and wait for PL to hot-drop decimate the camps, and sometimes I dock and clone-jump out to do something else.

If you need to hurry and if you don't have other options available then you're prolly gonna lose a few more ships.

It's a lot of fun mission-running in nullsec. It's hard to justify on a purely rational reward:risk basis (except the pirate arcs which are very good on risk:reward basis), but the fact that everyone else is also trying to kill me does add an interesting additional dimension to my bearing.

Good luck.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.
