Hey guys my corporation recently moved to Teonusude (Molden Heath). We are a group of friends who have grown up together and gamed together all our time. We are a close bunch of guys all from the same city, approx 15 of us although we do have alts which bloats ou rcorp to an average of 50 members.

The highsec systems have served us well and after deciding to branch out and hit the lowsec ring we spent a few weeks scouting out the area.

This did not bring good news.

Resources, missions and access to further afield and creating an alliance of like minded peaceful members is our goal and here we thought we had the chance to strike gold.

We have been shocked by the activities of some of the community. Gate camps, missions being hijacked and ships stolen and in some cases destroyed completely. These individuals will offer ransoms which we flatly refuse to pay on morale grounds but even then they will pod our capsules without a care in the world. I can not grasp this playstyle, to intently try and ruin the game for others who enjoy the serene side to eve is wrong in my opinion.

So where do you come in c&p ?

We are willing to pay a hefty wardec fee and sizeable bounty to an advanced tactical combat unit that will be willing to move to our region and help us claim the stronghold systems for our own use.

I don't know if this operation has taken place before but simply put, we want a piracy suppression to happen on our doorstep.

The problem areas. Istodard and the systems around that dead-end pocket. Pocket will need clearing and current corporations flushing out.

Bosena/oddelulf, tactical entry points. Again system will need flushing out. Presence of mercenary forces putting off pirate activities.

Heild and Aedald. System clear out. We have pinpointed this system as possible future home for our new alliance members. System will need flushing out. Mercenary presence round the clock to quell pirate activities.

Egbinger. Access to Great Wildland nullsec space. System will need heavy guards to monitor safekeeping of fleet movement.

Before the cat calls start. No I am not mad. But the house has finally buckled, these infestations are even moving into OUR highsec systems. A corp member of mine lost a Hulk last week and a Retriever, we feel that if our contract goes live, who is going to do that with our blockades. These antics need to stop.

To make this easier, we are willing to offer our full support to the op. To make sure things run smoothly and we can supervise the operations as we instruct. Some of our members are primarily mission runners and miners but we know how to fit a battlecruiser, even our new pilots can.

Sorry for long post. Please contact me via in games mail. With A- a price. B - an estimation of time this will take.

We can afford this. We are not small time.

Thank you for your considerations.

A) Welcome to eve, where complaining about pirates makes you even more of a target. Props on going for mercs tho :)

B) I believe you are looking for in-game channel 'merc contracts' to find a reliable merc group. They police themselves in that channel, so you are unlikely to get scammed. Anyone who mails you anything else, well, is probably out to scam ya.

Good luck, but never expect peace in New Eden.

I have something i think i can add to threads rightous thread

"mmmmm salty sweet bear tears"

While I feel for you, I have to say... being one of those nasty people that like to ruin others peoples day, I have to say... "dude, this is eve, if you don't like it... perhaps a return to high sec is in order"

More over, I fail to understand how this kind of action is sustainable, If you publicly call for mercs, the nasty people will come looking for the fights they bring, it will not force away your problems, but in fact double or triple them.

This is the paradox at the heart of hiring mercs to fight pvpers, most pvp corp welcome fights, wardecs and any other action that will result in a fight.

Speaking from the other side of the fence, I would honestly suggest you spend another few weeks scouting somewhere else and keep scoutinig till you find a quiet, "safe" and out of the way cluster that suits your needs.

I'm sure the residents of Amamake, Tama or Old Man Star would love to see you chaps and welcome you with open hearts and arms.

So basically you want hire mercs to do to others what was done to you plus kick them out of there home system. And do you have plans to sustain control of the system after the contract expires or were you looking for a long term contract.

Feel free to contact us in game or by eve-mail I would like to hear more.

I like this idea of a tranquil, lowsec utopia for PVE and shizz. Dunno how it will work though.

Fantastic.. why on earth they didn't just come to a deal with the people already in the system and pay them rent.
Hell, even go out to null and rent some better space out there...

but no...

This is an interesting spin.

It could be said that the OP here, invaded someone else's home system and they defended it.

The OP's call for Mercs now makes him look like an aggressor and guilty of all the things he bemoaned.

Sounds Like a rich contract.. I am currently looking for a new corp. If there is a Merc crew looking to do this give me a shout. Make tons of isk, sit around for a few weeks after the Pirates decide to sos or run alts till we get bored, once the contract is up, wait around for us to get called back when they can't hold the area..

Good for lulz and isk.

This is an intriguing contract order. I wonder if there's a merc joint around capable of handling multiple system anti-piracy duty. I also wonder if the OP can afford such mercs for long.

i dont get why people say these people should go back to high sec. The biggest gripe is that carebears choose not to pvp and just get their asses handed to them. Well these people (if they aren't alts) are actually doing something about it. These people understand eve. As a long-time pirate and a longer-time pvper, I applaude these individuals for their determination. They get eve.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Any decent size Merc crew would do it (for the length of the contract), but unless you were crazy why would you hire them to. It would cost way too much isk, the Pirates just go to ground until the contract is up, then they go back to work. MH can not be cleared of pirates permanently, hell, if you pay them enough they will let you roam around a couple weeks and pretend you cleared them.

The thing about pirates, even if they don't want to alt it up for a couple weeks, they can move on and kill in some other lowsec area until the mercs get too expensive to afford. Then they just come back. If your alliance isn't big enough to control the space, for as long as you operate there, you are not going to live past the contract. No Merc company is going to take the job on a per kill basis because another funny thing about pirates is, they fight when THEY want to, not when YOU want to.

First of all, I would like to offer you an invitation to move your group to Amamake. We have many stations with cloning and repair facilities. Pator Tech is also a great place to grab skillbooks - just ask Lukka. With high level missions and agents, you will have access to many resources. Even better, we are right next to high sec space: Rens (the major minmatar market hub) is only 3 jumps away and Abudban (with an excellent ice field) is only 2 jumps away. We also have that valuable low sec ore that you desperately crave just going to waste in 3-1.

Secondly, I think it is great that these bears are angry and want to fight the pirates. This is actually the sort of conflict that low sec, and piracy in general, needs.

OP, I doubt you realize how expensive this operation will be. I don't doubt how much isk you have available from L4's and the like, just how long it will last for such a large scale merc op.

My honest recommendation is that you should try recruiting a pvp corp to your alliance and paying them a monthly salary from your corp's taxes on mission running/mining. Their role can be to break up gate camps, camp pirates in station, hot drop pirates into a fit of rage, and just generally blob the f***ing daylights out of them. Low sec PvP'ers need to get paid and you could add a valuable dynamic to the region by providing a mechanism for them to profit as well.
