Maybe looking into a new wormhole might be helpful. Don't C3s allow freighters?

But without that or compression, you can make more isk per hour in high sec, after you total all the costs of pos fuel etc.

The big thing to be concerned about is your outbound stactic(s).

If you want logistical ease, grab a C(whatever) with a HS static big enough to fit a freighter.

If you want long term livability, grab a low class wh with a Static to the class whose sites you want to do (you will bottom out your own hole very quickly).

If you want paradise, find both in one (some WHs have more than one static). Good luck finding this one.

You should definitely stay mining in wspace and should consider moving to a c5 to allow freighters in and out. The higher classes have better ore and have more nullsecs as well, so you can use jump freighers to quickly jump back to trade hubs. Where ever possible to maximise isk per hour, make sure everyone online is mining. C5s tend to be empty so you can mine freely in the static. As an added bonus, freighters make collapsing wormholes easy.

Correct me if I am wrong but a intensive refining array is great for corps without a Rorqual. After you refine the ore the minerals are considerable less in volume over the original ore volume. If I did my math right its near double the reduction in volume over the Rorqual. Now the 25% loss in minerals and the 3 hours refining time it takes is why most don't use them but if you don't have a rorqual its worht it. A grav site can easily be 10-25 orca loads of uncompressed/unrefined ore.
