Annoying patcher issue

"The installer cannot continue because EVE Online is still running on your computer. It is suggested that you restart your computer and run the installer again" has started appearing in patches after xmas, if I have another client running on the computer than the one I am patcfhing. This another client is installed to totally different harddrive.

Because of this I have to patch all the clients one by one before I can start any clients and actually play.

It worked fine before but you broke it.

I feel your pain, as a QA Tester at CCP we never have just one client open and the requirement to close other running clients is a pain, but FEAR NOT! There is light on the horizon. We are working with Team Special Circumstances testing version 1.0 of the new EVE Launcher which should make patching clients a smoother and altogether more 21st Century experience. The plan is for the launcher to be released Soon™

I kind of guessed that this was something you were aware already, but having a confirmation was great thing. Now I can drop it out of my mind.

Thanks for the reply. New launcher is looking great what I examined it in sisi earlier. No more client restarting I guess.
