A "WTF Happened" moment

This happened to me too a few weeks ago. Before DT, a hole from a C6 into a C5 was in end of life phase. I knew where it went, as we'd been using it as part of an exit route.
Then DT happened. After DT, I went for a look to see if it was still there or died yet - and it appeared to have regressed back to mid-life phase. Curious, I jumped through to find myself in a totally different system. It was a new hole in the exact same location as the old one. The same BM as before took me right to it.
I have no explanation for this but I reckon it is what happened to you too.

wormholes have been screwey since the second patch of the latest expansion. We do a TON of static rolling and have seen all manner of oddities occur.

Im the main hole roller for our tiny guild so i cycle our static on average 3-5 times a day. Ive seen fresh wormholes open that close with less than half the mass. Half the time. Weve seen while cycling wormholes, one of the previous statics re-open (same book mark same destination exactly) that we had closed earlier in the session. Our statics also seem to be going to the same system MUCH more frequently.

In a couple of channels, among other things, its been theorized that they messed up the "mass/time can very on wormholes" calculation somehow. But its been screwey, and a little harrowing sometimes moving ships through dangerous grounds after a wh collapses prematurely.

and you really think this is worth a post in "EVE General Discussion"?

I am sure CCP singled you out to **** with. Just like God has been hiding dinosaur fossils to **** with Evolutionists when everyone knows the world is only 6000 years old ;)

Your contribution on the other hand [/sarcasm]Marvelous[/sarcasm]

WAIT WHAT EVE IS BROKEN?! NO WAY!

O wait normal **** nothing to see here move along.

CCP does not need to change any WH code... eve is nothing but a pile of ****, toss in anything else and you can break something... the code is nothing but patches on patches...

TBH I am shocked it still works.

OP stated several times he checked that no one in corp scanned down new WH and replaced the BM...

Wouldn't it be funny if it turned out it WAS someone in corp trying to make the OP think he was going crazy?

You know, like in that movie?

... with that guy?

Oh GD...I posted to a necro-thread

pretty much this, wormholes are meant to have screwed up physics and whatnot, they exist outside of the normal space time malarky.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Several players have reported wormholes doing strange things since the last patch. According to CCP none of the code has changed. I would confirm and file a bug report (they would like to get them the day something happens).

I suspect issues are more widespread but a lot of people simply shrug when a WH does strange things and think that it is intended.
If this is the same CCP that repeatedly re-introduces old bugs and breaks previously-working features due to either very poor code version control or developmentally-challenged regression testing, then it isn't unreasonable to be skeptical of their claims.
