It only takes a few seconds to load. Only a few times have I seen it take longer.
I don't usually do much walking around.
Sometimes I don't even notice it with all the ships, modules and other game windows I have to look at.

Multi clients. medium internal texture quality, simulated clothes/hair off and low quality characters.

I was wondering if anyone thinks the undocking takes longer than docking. But that probably has more to do with how many people are outside the station maybe. So it's no big deal.

I turn it off, mostly because it's really unstable running in wine.

My Super Sexy Toon has suddenly developed a massively wide face when in captains quarters and i cannot bare to look at him. oh and it takes to long to load

I guess I'm lucky enough to have a computer that doesn't get sick rendering the CQs. Loading time is the same for me and, even tho my character's face look like the consequences of a cortisone overdose, it is still better than staring at a door, in my view.

off .3 sec after I realized it kept me from using 2 clients at the same time.
If they push ahead with making it manditory to have on Ill be out cause I dont like playing this game with one account.

Tried it for 5 minutes but realized that it adds almost nothing to the game but increased lag.
Also, CCP needs to add a poll function to the forums.

Off. Portraits are hideous (I got ALL portraits of any kind blocked on my computer.) Current character design/art are ugly. Nothing to do in CQ. CCP's attitude about Captains Couch being comparable to squeezing out a giant steamer at our feet.

There's not a single thing good about CQ. If I wanted "realism" or whatever, I'd go sit on my REAL couch. (Same with the stupid "lemme load videos on the screens!" Well, guess what, I've got a REAL TV, and a REAL couch that is a lot more comfortable than an office chair. Don't waste any more dev time on something so gawd damned stupid.)

There might be point to this but what you actually do there. Lol

I mean even on fast computer with everything going smoothly it is just not functional. Stuff that I do in the station is not enriched by it at all for now.

That can of course change later ...

Looks fine, runs fine, but it dosen't do anything I can't do quicker from the door or hopefully soon from the returning hangar.

I'll turn it back on when it has a point and more importantly when it's optional.

If they want people to use it give some incentives, I liked the suggestion someone posted of no market fees on transactions conducted 'face-to-face' once CQ goes multiplayer.

Since it doesn't add any form of functionality what so ever and just adds delay when docking to swap ships or cargo.

Might switch it on if any interesting functionality is added.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I have it switched on, I don't tend to do a great deal in the station so it doesn't hinder me by much.
Loading times have improved a little since the initial launch, so I'll probably leave it running to see if performance improves much more over the next month or so.

I have it switched on.

I'm running 3 accounts - 2 monitors on my pc and 1 on my laptop. I have max settings on the 1st, med to high settings on the second, and med to high on the laptop and the whole thing runs smoothly. Loading times are minimal.

I don't understand how other people are having so many issues with their systems, my setup is about 2 years old now and I'm not having these problems I hear about on the forums.

i had it on for the first few days, but it get boring fast since you dont have a lot of space to walk around.
maybe when the will intruduce walk in STATION and interaction with other players i will switch it again
