So... Let me try to understand what Walking in Stations is all about.

So you walk, in the station? sweet.

Then a few hours later, you sit in a bar?

Week later you still walking around the station...
Months after WIS is released, you still walk around the same station?

yay look I am walking... and I am in a station!

Seems pointless.

Well there "was" going to be a lot more to do... then... they got ratings from [Pegi 12] and [ESRB]. Now you can imagine an environment that is safe for 12 year olds. So yeah.

Player owned stores would be one of few actual good contents, but since CCP doesn't know how to make this MMO actual multiplayer-environment, well.. the laughs' on them right now.

I don't want to mock or deride you. I don't.

I look forward to the gambling, imursion and social interaction.

I know that social interaction can exist in a basic text platform.

As a human being, having a body and seeing other bodies adds to pure text communication.

An mmo is an inherently social game.

I think you are criticizing it because you think it's cool to do so.

I look forward to WIS being Alpha WoD.

FiS = EVE entirely imo. They shouldn't refer to the game that has put money in their pocket since launch as just a PART of the game.

Yeah, could be. But there's nothing inherently wrong with new things. I can see getting upset over the implementation but he is criticizing the fundamental idea.

It appears that way doesn't it. Fortunately for him, WiS is optional (like NeX). You can in fact SiS (Sit in Spaceship) all day too.

Alone.

Maybe CCP was thinking "Hey there are people sitting around doing nothing but spinning ships in their hangers. Maybe we could give them something else to do in station while they wait to do something in space?".

do you think the stations would be nothing but a big empty space for people to walk around in?

Sorta right. Being in stations is the bit that's not supposed to be optional. Walking around will be.

And that's another critisism related to Incarna/WiS. All content in EVE is optional. You never have to undock if you don't want to. You can participate or chose not to in PvE/PvP, in-space, mission, travel, market, industry etc.

Walking in station is the first forced-upon content in this game.

You dont HAVE to walk in the station, stay in your CQ long enough to change ships then go do what ever you feel like.

You dont have to mine.
You dont have to run missions.
You dont have to PvP.
You dont have to walk in stations.

You dont HAVE to do ANYTHING!

The purpose is to make it easier to differentiate between the raging, bitter, no-imagination derps and the easy-going, open thinking, sandbox enthusiasts. :)

If you re-read that quote, you'll see that the intention from CCP is to eventually enforced WiS and not make it optional.

atm The only thing you do in a station, is prepare and organize yourself to Leave the station. Because there is alot to do OUTSIDE.

WiS is only fun, and enjoyable IF there is content to explore/enjoy in the station (more then 1 days content)

So you plan on walking in the same station and never undocking? I could imagine there'd be good sort of stations with thousands in system at any time.. Systems with 3 or 4 different stations could be interesting as long as there is diversity between a Chemical Refinery compared to an Unviersiry on the inside.

Stations are sure to have plenty of capsuleers so you aren't being very convincing with your argument that WiS SERIOUSLY is not going to work well into EvE and eventually its player base when implemented.

Some places Jita, Amaar, Mili, countless high-sec stations, etc etc .
There'd be a few hi-population lo-secs I'm sure. The only ones that have most concern are 0.0 corps.. Since those systems can be from full active few hundred to nothing more than you and space..
