How do I change my credit card info without adding gametime?

So I got a new debit card with a new number and I went to the EVE account management tab and clicked on the change payment method button and went through the process...It forced me to pay a full month subscription but didn't confirm that the card that will be billed monthly had been changed.

I know it was possible to simply change the card information on the old site, but I can't seem to find it on the new one. I'm not about to just fork out payments on my other accounts without knowing that this is actually going to fix my issue.

Can anyone clear this up for me please?

Dont listen to him, its a technically problem with the chip n pin....

Post me your credit card, your pin number and a copy of your signature.

This will be dealt with.

As you (should have) put the new debit card information in as part of that process, it will bill the new card from now on.

It will bill you the 1 month immediately, but you will still have the remaining credit on your account, the date/time of your monthly billing cycles will remain unchanged overall.

Oh, and I'm getting tapped on the shoulder by someone called "Mr F. OrumTradition" ... apparently I have to ask about "iskies" and "stuffz" and the having of? P

That's how I thought the whole thing worked. I ended up filing a petition and GM just confirmed the last 4 digits of my card for me. I was really surprised they left the existing card verification off of the new site. What a hassle...unless you're CCP and want people to pay you a month's playtime for every time you change card info on every account you have. X *coughlamecoughcough*

Question is, why you want to give your credit card information if you are not going to buy/pay anything?

It's a problem with their system for changing payment details.

If your credit card is about to expire, rather than just being able to change the card details (typically you only need to change expiry date and security code for a card replacement), you have to run through the whole 'purchase' process and be billed immediately.

I don't necessarily agree with the approach they've taken, but the honest answer is at the end of the day I'm still going to pay them the money on the new card, so the charged amounts aren't really a problem.
