Fast way to make ISK?

Hello again EVE friends,

As I’m currently training Mining Barge to level 5, I have 5 days left, I need to make 200mil ISK to buy a Hulk Ship then I need more cash to outfit the ship. So I’m guessing around 300 to 400mil. What would be my best bet to make 400mil in 5 days?

I do not have a good ship to run any missions other then maybe T1 or lower. I have a retriever mining ship now.
So any tips or tricks you guys could share to that I may possibly make this money by then?

That much ISK, in so few days, with those ships (and probably skills).
Not much left mate, if you already have some ISK to invest - trade.
If not - sit in Jita and scam away ...

EVE is not a game for the impatient.
I would normally have suggested L4 missions or 0.0 anomalies but in your ship ... Blink
EDIT: it actually only says T1 - well a Raven is a T1 but as only mention a Retriever, I'm guessing it's something more on the cruiser sized thing.

You have a retriever and for some reason you need to be in a hulk in 5 days, apart from that you expect to use 200 mil to fit said hulk. Just doesn't make much sense :P

There are ways to make that much isk but I doubt they're available to you, either because of SP, skill focus or eve knowledge. Still, have a look at my signature and go to my guide forum. One of the guides talks about how to make cash.

Buy PLEX from account management with 20 USD/EUR, sell ingame for about 480 million ISK.

That much ISK in that sort of time? I think Malaire hit the nail on the head. Buy a PLEX, sell on the Market.

As the others have said above, with your SP and ships the options are few.

- Buy GTC and sell it as plex. The fastest way to make iskies.

- Go to Jita and scam. It's hit and miss and the consequences might come back at you later.

- Trading. If you (not your character, you) know how to trade this is probably your best choice of legit iskies. Otherwise it isn't the best time for learning and probably losing your isk.

Get a covetor instead. It's about 40 million fitted and rigged. You can get a basic one with as low as 25 million if you're really strapped for cash and it gets about 85% of the hulk's yield. You can then use that ship to earn a hulk.

I didn't want to buy PLEX but it may be my only option. The only reason i want a HULK is because its the best mining barge out there. If i can mine more and faster i can more more ISK. the more ISK i make the faster i can get into T2 missions. (not including the time it takes for training skills)

Not a bad idea. i see convetors for 14mil. What is the best item to use to increase the cargo hold?

2 x expanded cargohold II and 3 x medium cargohold optimization I rigs get a covetor to 9889 m3. You will ofc mine more per cycle if u replace the expanders with mining upgrades. Up to you.

If you're interested in mining for a living, you should read this guide: http://www.eve-wiki.net/?title=Haladas_Mining_Guide

That's pretty much the mining Bible of Eve. It's slightly dated, but mostly just due to market fluctuations, the number crunching for yield and such is still perfectly accurate.

What missions? If you mean level 2 missions, they only need a cruiser and that is much easier and cheaper to get than Hulk.

So why not just get cruiser and skip mining.

Just do some 10/10 plexes. Easy money in there.

I'm going to conclude that you're terribly misinformed and I mean that in a constructive way, nothing you stated here makes any sort of sense.

- mining is terrible income in high sec even with a hulk. Would you mine in 0.0 then your lack of EVE experience means you'll probably lose that Hulk within days
- would you want to do it anyway you don't need a 200 mil fit on that hulk
- T2 missions, what are those. If you mean lvl 2 missions, newbies can do those in a cheap cruiser or even the free destroyer they got from the adv. tutorials
- the more time you waste on training up mining related skills is time lost training ship related stuff, meaning you're even further away from becoming competent at combat

I heard the quickest way was to accept a courier contract, look inside the box, see billions of isk of material that only has a few mil colatoral on it.
Then fail the contract and sell the minerals.

Good idea...
- If someone's foolish enough to request only millions when shipping billions worth merchandise.
- Once you got the nose to avoid scam contracts.
- Once you have the cashflow to support the collateral to even accept the contract.
- Once you have a ship that can freight those highly valuable goods through any system and don't fear either suicide gank or blockades.

OP can't fly more than T1 frigs/dessies(/cruisers?), can't afford Hulk, ...

Now, Kessel, in 5 days you'll be able to fly a Hulk, but did you train just the exhumer to 3 and its prerequisites? a Covetor with appropriate skills and a clever fitting will yield more ore than a bare prereq hulk but only cost around 40 mil fitted. Can you fit T2 strip miners? and T2 crystals for the various ores?

Sure in 5 days you *can* fly a hulk, but if your only goal is to make some ISK to have a ship worth flying in lvl2 missions, you're surely better keeping whatever ISK you can make for that ship, instead of spending it in a Hulk.

By the way, isn't Hulkageddon about to start?

What's that smell?

It smells like there is a "Someone ganked the Hulk I had all my money invested in and now I cannot afford a frigate" whine thread incoming.
