Absolutely is. Quick, better quit and give me your stuff while you have the chance.

Historically, a post with the content the Op has made is posted at least once every 3 weeks.

For the past the 8 years.

Looks like EvE has it's own Clone survival mechanism, Op.

I am sad that you are leaving Eve Sarasha, but as you simply arnt enjoying it I dont blame you at all.

Goodbye, I never knew you and probably that was for the best.

Eve's not dying, it just needs a kick in the ass. By that I mean it needs to have a major difficulty revamp encompassing all areas of the game. Running the same missions in a rigged T3 that you were running before T3 or rigs even existed? Houston we have a problem.

Isk is worth about 10x less than it was when I started, and from my perspective it's been a negative change all the way down.

I would go with it's on a death spiral short of something changing (though that spiral could take another decade). I haven't seen a count above 60K since that whole MT fiasco and rarely see it above 50K anymore (I don't care what the stats say, I"m talking my anecdotal logging in and looking at active players).

I'm starting to see in this game what killed a lot of multi-decade miniature / hex games once they hit around the ten to twelve year publication mark which was basically re-writing rules constantly to generate excitement / new sales, pointless ship bloat (just to have more models/counters/damage cards that don't add anything), and the drive to make all races equal outside the look of the model / shooting graphic. The new T3's are a great example of this as was the dred rewrite, they are all pretty cookie cutter now.

Folk are always going to cry about bots I imagine how much more they would cry if the market/mining/null bots quit generating all that passive income/market selling/etc etc and prices sky rocketed. Sure CCP could take over with NPC orders but to be honest I prefer bots any day over CCP NPC agents/corps/etc.

How about instead of further trying to fix null and then have secondary effects that annoy ppl and then fix them and repeat endlessly we take a year and fix the little non-excitement stuff that makes the game what it promised. Defender missiles, rogue drones, scriptable drones, fix the dreds, renamable JC's, a million other little things (that whole list we vote on every year). Let's move away from sexy and just clean the game up for the first time in awhile.

no EvE is not dying

Eve is stagnating.

Most of CCP`S workforce abandoned it long ago for what they consider better projects.

Now they dont have the expertise or the imagination left.

We would be over a million strong , logging in now, if CCP had not losdt faith in eve.

Eve is a sandbox for programmers, the sky is the limit.

EvE as a concept can never die, its too good an idea.

It just needs its owner to love it

Eve has been dying since 2003. It's fine as long as someone doesn't do something stupid like proclaim that Eve is alive.

I don't think EVE is dying, I think 0.0 space is dying because the alliances killed it and now they're looking for someone to blame that isn't them.

Eve died long ago. No worries though, it's being resurrected in WoD as a vampire. Srsly, CCP couldn't come up with a way to stop the blob in New Eden, so they decided the only way was to start over with a new game and hence we have WoD, where vamp blobbing is totally pointless (you can only suck on one neck at a time, you know). Incidentally, this will also solve the "noobs can't ever catch up with vets" problem as well since we'll all be starting over with 0 SP's.
