You leave your hi slots open.

Fit point AND scram AND web and speed tank it.

Deploy Sentries at 0 on gate. Tackle anything you want, kite, loot.

Die to anything that your sentries can't hit?

Idk, I'm not an Ishtar pilot

Nano fitted with Neuts (for those moments when you really didnt mean to get into scram range) isnt the worse thing you can do with this ship.

But like most HAC's (IMHO) they are not meant to be flown solo and are there more to complement fleet comp.

Dunno dude, I'm not really an Ishtar pilot either. Now my Frenchie alt, there's a good pilot.

I guess if you're not one of those guys who panics in a fight, you can always, mmmmm, lemme see, if only there was an option to abandon drones... And if only the Ishtar had the drone capacity for multiple drones....

Ventro69: There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Problem is why bother when a tier 3 bc can field twice as much dps with 10k less ehp, doing 300m/s slower at 1/2 the cost? In general, canes and drakes have made kiting hacs a non-starter in general. Unless you have ewar. In which case go for style points and kill with kite-ibis'.

Well unjammable DPS (SeBo in the mids) and cap stable 2000m/s (un heated) seemed ok for me when I was flying it.

I am no pvp guru but DPS and EHP arent the only things that rule in pvp IMHO.

And like any combat situation you select your targets surely.

Not starting a slagging match, you make a valid point I just think there are situations where an Ishtar can shine.

Of course there are. The same can be said of every ship in game game though. For me, drone travel time and/or having to bail on sentries don't make it worth the cost.

Most HAC's need a new or improved role and a general rebalance, IMO.

You need more than the stock 105km control range often? That can only be somewhat useful with Wardens and they suck.

It's definitely one of the best PVE ships out there and serves as a good platform for doing non-PVP activities while still being able to defend itself until it can GTFO or until help arrives.

Control Range bonus only appllies to scout and heavy drones.

The ishtar is probably in the top 5 most flexible and powerful ships you can put together on a budget, both for pve and pvp. If you don't know about the many uses of the ishtar as a gallente pilot, you should figure it out.

May have been for some other reason but I could not get bouncers to attack locked targets at 90km w/ only 1 DLA on a Domi. 2 worked fine.

The stock control range on an Ishtar is 85km, incuding EWar Drone Interfacing & HAC at V.

Control Range does also affect sentries. The 'Scout and Heavy Drone operation range' mentioned in the Ishtar's bonus info is actually rather misleading.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

The stock control range on an unfitted Ishtar is 85km, incuding EWar Drone Interfacing & HAC at V. I think you may mean stock fit, including a T1 DLA? In which case ignore me;)

Control Range does also affect sentries. The 'Scout and Heavy Drone operation range' mentioned in the Ishtar's bonus info is actually rather misleading.

The Ishtar is the only ship for which I forced myself to train a rig skill to V. Namely Drones Rigging, to minimise the CPU nerf from Sentry Damage rigs. Just an extra 3 or 4 CPU does, amazingly, make quite a difference on this boat.

Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

Yeah somehow I reminded the HAC bonus as more, 85km is pretty decent with Bouncer II though, and you don't really want to use wardens except in PVE...
