If i dont know something about EVE. I check https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/ISK_The_Guide

Don't worry. There is a simple method to re-instating any official lore (A'J or otherwise) that got left out of the mix: Add a note to the Discussion tab that earlier versions of this article contained official lore that got lost (and note exactly what it was, if you can). We'll review it when we can, and if we confirm it and decide that it's official lore, it'll get put back in.

Talk pages of articles can easily get lost amongst the many recent changes, many of these issue have already been flagged up on talk pages. There needs to be a way to flag these up centrally.

I suggest that after explaining the problem of lore missing or lost on the articles talk page add the talk page to the following temporary category.

When the issue is resolved or dismissed that category can be removed from the talk page.

Wyke,

I think your devotion to the wiki overall is commendable but if you really wanted to make a difference with it you could have applied to YARR or Mercury as soon as Abraxas's devblogs came out detailing all the changes that were coming.

I imagine it would be a lot more productive for you than flailing on the forum about "vandalism", and more productive for them to have another team member who's passionate about the same thing they are. Then you'd gain the same understanding of the process that Vol_ckang and CCP Abraxas and all the other people actually involved with it directly have, instead of trying to figure it out from the outside like the rest of us.

Personally, I think the new portal is great and I'm looking forward to it growing as a CCP-only source of PF. I don't believe players should be able to come within a hundred feet of being able to edit the pages, even if the information they want to add is correct. It can only be considered vetted and thus true canon if it comes from CCP or the ISD guys anyway.

Player driven content, lore, prime fiction:

If the Lore pages are CCP only (agreeable), there is no viable medium to deposit current modes of thinking / fashions in New Eden.

Not to draw lines intentionally, but if the whole community (100% of subscribers) have to undergo a "significant cultural event" then the adjudication as to whether that is lore, prime fiction or player driven content would still remain with CCP.

How does one simply apply cultural events to the wiki when lore pages exist.

I.e.

Lianda Burreau:

1. Lianda has a real presence in Lore.
2. Lianda has been cited in discussion with and by Hilen Tukoss
3. Lianda Burreau's wiki page is Locked and contained within the Lore section: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Lianda_Burreau

If a development arises whereby a player wishes to upload adaptive content (a lose association would be the Trinary Data event) there is currently no medium to do this.

I'm uninformed as to the process by which Lore fragments / Prime Fiction / Player driven content can be flagged, other than discussion, to keep a fashion in effect.

To summarise, if for 3 months a charcter contained in lore is active in-game, how do all nuances get announced to CCP for adjudication.

Best of Luck!

P.S. CCP Dropbear and Headfirst = masters of subterfuge. Happy New Year

Can we get some more feedback from the devs on what is talked about in this tread. Please

Even a properly coded header for the database pages to hold the look and then be implemented by the player base and guidance about when the dbinfo will be updated.
