The best part of suicide ganking is getting some miner so mad that he threatens RL violence and gets his account banned. We saw a ton of that during our recent ice interdiction.

I gather you guys stopped pretending it was some white Knight crusade to stop bots?

somethingawfull is still full of carebears too. Making people farm Hulks and Mack's for initiation won't change it. Glad you avoided the RMT aspect of EVE.

Does any one have a start time to the event? And are Covetor's a target as well? or just the Exhumer class ships?

All non-combat ships, as well as any ships mounting mining lasers, will be targeted if I understand correctly. Someone was saying he would like to gank Bantams (caldari mining frigate).

A lesser pilot might make a snide comment about moon goo here, but I can't be arsed. I'll just unsub until May. No fuss, no muss Bear

I've lost 2 ships in the last two hulkageddons, neither of them were hulks or even barges for that matter just a catalyst and some industial that I was using to haul some crap(the catalyst one was a fun little fight). It stopped being an anti-hulk game a long time ago, it's now more anti-anyone that is caught in a asteroid belt.

Um. You can lose destroyers and haulers any time during the year. I doubt your losses had anything at all to do with Hulkageddon. It is disingenuous to blame those losses on the event.

Don't think he was blaming the losses on the event. Just saying they happened.

I personally love this event. I sit in my cloaked salvager waiting for the gankers to show. Then I get free loot and salvage.

Was just saying those two ship loses(two of three that I've lost) was during Hulkageddon, and to provide an example of what ships are being targeted during Hulkageddon (IE anything that happens to be in a belt). I really have no problem with it, I expect to lose a ship this time and the next one and the one after that and so forth

Hey Hulk gankers, here's a bunch of candidates for bot hulk targets. They're based in
Ekura VII - Moon 14 - Caldari Constructions Warehouse, Lonetrek

Here's 5 of them that I see right now on local. No matter when I get online, their miners are busy day and night. They stand out like a sore thumb in local, they are nearly identical blonds with glasses and like their names, have just a simple cosmetic change to make them different. Same corporation.

Ayeka Kuwashima

Houko

Masami Kuwashima

Murisya

Ryo Kuwashima

If they are bots, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Well this thread is precitable, look out it's the hair bear bunch.

If only we could mine the rage.

Then you are a bad parent. Much like your children, CCP needed some tough love and CSM6, led by The Mittani, provided it and saved Eve from its downward spiral.

What was the CSM doing prior to Incarna? Twiddling their thumbs?

So basically CCP realised the situation they were in, put on a dog and pony show, then gave the CSM a biscuit and some publicity.

CSM to the rescue.

LOL.

Of course it had nothing to do with players protesting and unsubing, all the CSMs work.

Tired of the "tail coat" riding. CCP as developers do absolutley nothing, nada, all Mittens doing. Roll

They simply drink beer to the point they can't even operate cameras at the CSM meetings. Doubt its anything more than getting a new look at the new shineys CCP have thought up and then selfishly talking about a few issues they want resolving that they will benefit from and throwing toys out of prams at stuff CCP did that didn't help their interests.

CSM = "Childish Selfish Mittani"

The real power is with players wallets, however.

I love it when threads devolve into the standard conspiracy theories. The 'real' motivation of CCP or CSM or other alphabet group of "them". It's always THEM...

It's a player run event. There is no change to the game, it's the basic mechanics that always exist. At any point an individual, corp, or alliance can xfer money or items to you for whatever reason. You can always suicide gank a hulk in high sec. If someone else decides to reward you for that...that is between those players really.

I'm not sure what it is care bears want CCP to 'do' about it. It's just people actually using the existing mechanics more one month than others. But of course, that is much less interesting than reading into why a company that makes a space war game doesn't care much if people go to war in space in their game.......
