It's been a couple months since I've scanned, but have some sites become redicuosly hard to find now? All I find are 3/10 ded and lookouts now. I come across a bunch of sites scanning but then it disappears when i change the AU of my probes. Then I change it back and the site appears once again. I'll make a video if it's easier to be shown than describe whats going on if thats needed.

oh yea, i have pinpointing 4, rangefinding 4, the 3 6% implants, sister launcher, sister core probes.

EDIT: Nevermind, I know exactly what it is. It's not applying the filter until it knows what it is and then makes it disappear.

set your filters to show all

First, as above poster said, current default filter is bad and will hide all sigs once they are catheterized. So just in case create a new filter that accepts all kinds of sigs, unknown, mag, radar, ladar, grav.

Second, even if your filters are set 100% correct. There is a huge number of T3s using DSP trick to cover large areas quickly out there.

Set filters...by default, they are not checked to show anomaly,wh, etc.

That word, I do not think it means what you think it means...

Catheterized! Epic win for auto-correct. I wonder will it let my type categorized.

I have the exact opposite problem ... I find lot's of 4/10s and almost no 3/10s ...

I think your definition of problem is diferent to mine.. I'll happily run 4/10s over 3/10s..

^This.

Ever since the DSP trick became popular, 4/10's became very hard to find as everybody started doing it, and most of the ones you found already had somebody running it. The time it takes to scan out an entire region dropped by orders of magnitude, and now hundreds of people do it all the time.

Even scanning in lowsec is no better, in fact in many parts of lowsec its harder to find good DED complexes than highsec.

Forum just ate my lengthy post. :(

DSP tables are mostly reason for highsec troubles. CCP's oversight with sig strength of new 3/10s means that Gurista, Angel and Blood space has one single sig strength you have to look for.

But for example Serpentis have worst loot of all; and different sig strength for 3/10 and 4/10... and still situation in Gallente space is as bad as anywhere.

I'm getting impression that Caldari highsec is best place to explore. Best loot for certain. And while it is most crowded and most explored one; that actually translates in sites being found, completed and respawning all the time. You are very likely to get competition or to find site already occupied (or even despawning before you get final fix on it); but compared to amount of time spent I have found by far most ranked sites in Caldari space.

Lowsec has gotten bad also. T3 proliferation has encouraged a lot of high-sec explorers to venture into lowsec. Tengu with probing and covop subs might not have enough tank and gank to snooze trough 6/10s; but it can obliterate all mags and radars in the region until its cargo bay gets overfilled.

I started exploration two years ago. On workdays in late morning in EU TZ I could find one 4/10 in Gallente space for every dozen or so systems; while finding nice number of radars in meantime. In lowsec I could expect to see system after system with 4-5 sigs in them.

Now, in lowsec I can find one radar or mag site in 5 systems.

And to be honest, I don't have idea is there any way to "fix it". More sites spawning is no go, it would cause loot prices to freefall. Nerfing unprobable Tengus even further won't help highsec much; and would anger all people using T3 boosters in SSs; and would return lowsec and 00 L4 missioning to microscopic proportions. Having signature strength always very from base by some random amount? Doubling or tripling size of EVE? (PVPers would be furious, they already complain it takes too much time to find fights/ganks)
