jokes aside I use this alt because I can't reliably post with my main because I don't live in deep null where I can't get ganked with immunity to no retort for posting ideas like this in the forums by people using recycleable alts to gank people in highsec risk free.

Probably because you can potentially cut off everyone in a university dormitory; office building or apartment complex or anyone who is behind a NAT type device. An IP Address can not always be used to unique identify someone so as a metric gaming companies will very, very, very rarely use it. It is generally a bit stupid to do so.

And we're not even considering DHCP allocated IPs that are (sometimes) recycled whenever a router reboots.

Because it is a sandbox game. Players make and shape the game. You need to engage players if you want real risk.

i dont recycle my alts but if someone wants to spend their training time endlessly creating and training up new faux noobs for griefing and spying why not let them, they spend their sub to make chars that they'll trash, and if you admit a 2 week old toon into your corp you're a dumbass and if you get ganked by one you're also a dumbass
