Recruit a friend, can I choose plex if my account is under 3 or 4 months old?

I have an active (paid) account, if I recruit a friend via a recruit a friend link through eve online.com and they pay for there account via one of the approved payment methods, can I choose a PLEX if my account is less than four months old? I hear your account has to be four months old to choose PLEX?

If the option is available on the 'Invite a Friend' page then that's a yes. I don't think they exclude you from having the PLEX award but I could be wrong. Really the only way to find out is go to the page in your account management and see if that option is active.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

I don't think CCP has told that. Also it might depend on other things than just account age, as said in "Terms and Conditions" in that page.

Instead of you inviting him, your friend could also just check available public offers in Buddy invites and rewards from other players thread. Many of those gives back part of the PLEX in ISK, and sometimes even full PLEX.

So he could just take public offer and then give you part/all of what he gets, as thanks for inviting him to EVE, even if he didn't actually use buddy invite from you.
