What would be a good level for memory and perception attributes for drone training. I have lvl 3 implants.

Thanks

It's probably best to do it when you're remapped Int / Mem as there isn't a lot to train for competent drone skills for general use in sub capital ships.

Drone interfacing V, Heavy drones V and Sentry drones V will eat the most time though.

Thanks for the reply.

Ihave not played for 4 years, so I have 3 available remaps. Just thought I would use one of them to get a really good set of drone skills as I fly only Gallente ships and a DOMI most of the time.

In that case then, could you link your eveboard character sheet? Might give us a better look on how you're set right now.

I'm actually going to remap all into mem/per for this since once the drone skills are done, they are done for good.

You have 3 remaps so spending one to finish up all those drone skills seems worth it. Just be sure to get Sentry Drones V, everyone raves about it.

I thought that three years ago - "get the drone skills done, and then they are done"...then years later you find yourself training Advanced Drone Interfacing, Fighters, Fighter Bombers etc,etc Ugh

I'm going for Fighters IV and Advanced Drone Interfacing III. I don't plan on being in a carrier ever because I'd honestly don;t know what I'd do with it except rat and we all know how that turns out. P

Besides I think he'll get some remaps to get those if he does. CCP has deemed us worthy to get an extra remap a year since I started.

It is worth using a remap for mem/per to do all the drone skills.

Use 2 plus 5 implants and enjoy your 250 plus days of drone training.

I found it to be well worth it. Max drone skills are rad!

Thank you all for your replies.
Question now is, (now that my Gallente drone skills are reasonable, 7 of them at lvl 5, the rest at lvl 4), is it worth training other racial drones?

I tend to run missions a lot.

I do not really pvp atm, though I fully intend to do so in the future.

I have no plans in the forseeable future to train past Battle Ships. Of course old hands may predict that one day I will do so.

The drone skill I am most happy with is Drone Interfacing V.

Makes a huge difference in PvE and PvP. Wish I would have done it sooner.

If you could link us you're eveboard profile, we can help you get back into the pve swing of things.

As for the other race's drones i would say yes

Either way, Welcome back! Big smile

Caldari drones are best against kin/therm weak rats. Gallenete drones are best against em/therm weak rats, drones, and Angel tackle frigates. Minmatar drones are best against other exp/kin weak rats.

For sentries, carry Gardes plus damage-specific drones.

Minamatar drones are popular here, as are the EC series of ECM drones.

So yes, training at least Caldari and Minmatar drone spec to 4 is a good idea. Amarr not so much. Sentry spec to 5 for sure though.

Thank you all for the advice. I will train the other racial drones to 4.

I see that this thread has been viewed quite a few times, so hopefully others are taking advantage of the advice offered here.

Only drone skills I have under V are fighter bombers, drone specs, e-war drone inter facing, drone durability, mining drone operation and adv. drone intefacing.
That makes it 10,3 mil SP's.
Was going train more drone skills to V but realised it would had been just a waste of time.
Might train to V with fighter bombers if I ever find my self in SC (which is never).

Caldari and minmitar both worth training specialization to L5. (( Caldari most of all even more then gallente ))

Amarr is not worth it as only curators are worth using and since they are sentries they get nothing from the specialization skill.

My personal rating scale:

* >2,000 SP/hour = Acceptable
* >2,200 SP/hour = Good
* >2,500 SP/hour = Really Good

Perception > Willpower:
27p 21w 17i 17p 17c and +5 implants: ((17 + 5) + (27 + 5) / 2) * 60 = 2,280 SP/hour

Intelligence > Memory:
27i 21m 17p 17w 17c and +5 implants: ((21 + 5) + (17 + 5) / 2) * 60 = 2,220 SP/hour

Perception = Intelligence:
24p 24i 17i 17w 17c and +5 implants: ((17 + 5) + (24 + 5) / 2) * 60 = 2,190 SP/hour

Intelligence > Memory = Perception
23i 21p 21m 17w 17c and +5 implants: ((21 + 5) + (21 + 5) / 2) * 60 = 2,340 SP/hour

I don't really have a need to remap memory > perception.
