I won't go into details about what I saw you guys could improve on P (you've already talked about 2 big ones)....but all in all, glad to see it worked out for you.

I will say this...at least you have 'energy'. How long that'll last is yet to be determined, but for now...run with it.

Yeah, I like his energy and enthusiasm. Helps to counter some of the bitter vets found around here

New emerging figure heads and leadership is always a welcomed addition to the FW space. It's a win for all stakeholders.

You never know. He could be the next First General that the Caldari needs :)

Yeah... whats with all the haters?

The dude is trying to make the game fun for new people (like myself).

The "this is my playground, now leave" mentality of the vets in this thread is astounding...

Not really. Had he curb-stomped Gallente they would not be praising him here for bringing the fight but they would be silent or saying "lol, we brought less than you to give you a chance cause we are so awesome".

I think I just copy paste from other thread what a wise man said which applies well enough to 99.9% of the Gallente militia.

The reality is that most militia members want two things:
1. An impressive killboard. This means lop-sided ganks are preferential. Coordinating for more fights COULD conceivably yield more kills, but due to the way killboards score things and the ubiquitous ~iskwar~ they would rather take assured victory over possible defeat. Ironically, many of these same pilots will gripe about risk vs. reward elsewhere in the game.

2. The ability to continue "winning," or dominating the warzone to precipitate point #1 indefinitely. Some feisty guerrilla types will rail against this charge, and they are most likely to defect in the event that their militia begins to overwhelm the opposition, but on the whole a FW diehard wants nothing more than to continue beating the rotten corpse of his enemies for killmail currency and bragging rights on the forums. Mind you, this isn't something unique to FW, but FW is uniquely structured (or lacks structure) such that this is not only possible to achieve, but quite difficult to overturn.

If you don't believe this, take a cursory glance at the top rated killboard corps. Look at the tactics they employ on a regular basis. Risk aversion, killmail "whoring," and the like are the status quo. The "honorable," corps who seek "goodfights," are more often mocked than praised. Take from this what you will, but it is EVE, and it has been this way since day one.

If you warp to a plex from a known Caldari FW pipeline, that appears clear, but once in warp a geddon appears on scan, I swear it's not me in a disco geddon with T2 pulses sitting 5.1km off of gate from the angle you are warping in that was previously cloaked.

That, my rational and fair minded Damar is where you'd be wrong.......again.

With the griffins.....we surely expected a bloody nose.

Win or lose...I was genuinly shocked that he got that many caldari together to come out with the actual intention of fighting. Lately it seems it's hard enough for "you guys" to get fighting fleets together with known and experienced FC's (US TZ)...let alone a recent "turncoat" spamming the forums and militia chat.....

On another note....yesterday/last night US TZ squids were most definately in a fighting mood. Props for the repeated fights.

Good job Cal dudes.

Now it is evident that that the reason why you lost is because of low SP and Cal inexperience. I would say that had you brought 250mm thrashers to this fight, you would have at least killed a handful of their thrashers. Cormorants are shheeet. What you should think about is getting your newbs into thrashers, they are cheap as hell and are very effective. Kudos to you for trying to stand up to experienced, seemingly properly skilled, properly led Gal pvp-ers. I'm sure they had more fun having a Cal noob turkey shoot, then they let you believe. Also, they must love the no-risk pvp experience you bring to them.

Keep up the good work =)

You do know that the battle summary only shows those present that were on a kill or killed themselves and not those that got away without making it onto any kills.....???

Or this could be an extremely obvious attempt to fool the gallente militia.

It doesn't matter.. Frogs complain about not being able to pew pew mission farmers.. I took this to task and started running missions with 2 Drakes. I often go as far to announce my next mission location in Militia chat for all the Gal spys to see..

So far I've yet to have a single WT show up to pew pew me. Gals are only interested in "pew pew" if it's 3 or 4 jumps away from Hey, Rak or Nenn or if they can shoot you with 15 to 1 odds. Out side that it's like flying through high sec with the occasional mean pirate guys as there isn't much WT's to shoot despite them having many more active pilots.

I have my own reservations about the gallente. However the main thing I am focused on is training caldari militia and increasing fw activity

We have had some great fights even though they have been out numbered and people are having fun. No one cares about losing cheap ships. We will be bringing the pew. Try not to run once we have more experienced pilots. The gallentes time is running short. I plan to help build more experienced fleets.

NEXT EXPEIDITION FOR MILITIA IS 2/8 AT 0215

You should really try to push for Thrashers + Griffin combo on your ops.. Caldari Militia for the most part needs to get off their ass and train Thrashers, if they want to compete in the Plexes. There is no other "cheap" ship that can compare with it especially in large numbers.

It's why our corp pretty much requires them and even if fit with T1 mods on a low skill char they can push out 250dps or well over 400dps on a well skilled char. The ones we stick our new guys in only cost something like 2.5 mil each.

Of course random well skilled pilots can still do well in other ships, but nothing is gonna go head to head in miniors with low skill points or piliots with not a lot of PVP experience as Thrashers will.

The only reason Gallente militia dominates right now is because we've forced all the Caldari veteran militia members into exile. They write their anti-Gallente Militia manifestos under the protection of their Amarr overlords while also critizing the Caldari pilots who are putting their ships at risk fighting for the State. We even have some good "bittervet" Caldari FCs who do the same - criticize and not lead.

I, for one, am glad they stay away. The double-edge duo of not providing guidance to young Caldari pilots, while also criticizing those who do attempt to lead, will lead to yet another "wasted generation" of young Caldari pilots who will abandon their militia more discouraged than ever. More ganks for me and my fellow Gallente Frog blobbers in the years to come.

As Cromwell mentioned, if they killed nothing, the KB will show only their losses. In this fight, we assembled 10 against 13 (5 Thrashers, 3 Griffins, 2 Cormorants and 3 Hookbills) and in the last minute, we were joined by Loren Gallen (who managed to fit a Zealot to his Thrasher - look at this http://gallente.eve-kill.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=12324021 ) and one more I don't remember, resulting in 12 Gallente vs. 13 Caldari.

I don't know enough about the current situation within gallente/caldari factional war, but I know that anyone taking his time to make fleets and lead people who desire to learn something new, gets a gold star from me.
