Found a relevant forum post from 2005 after CCP Navigator 's memory delivered, also available on youtube

If memory serves me right I think you are talking about the Wilcard video from the corporation Evolution at http://www.eve-files.com/media/04/evolution-trailer.wmv

This was not an official EVE trailer but it certainly was cool Smile

Wow that was spectacular. If lasers were that powerful/had an effect like that, i think more people would play amarr (or at all)

That's a Templar, an Amarr fighter used by carriers.
