Better ships to rat in Gurista Space?

Currently using a megathron to rat in there, DPS is there but just lacking the tank for it.

My friend recommended me to use a Hyperion but some others stated otherwise.

I have no idea which direction i can go now.

i have Caldari up to BS V, Gallente only up to BS IV. (All those below these hulls are all V.)

Any recommendations?

With that i tried tanking in a Raven in a Haven and Sanctum, shield drops quicker.

Since Guristas do mainly kinetic damage (and some thermal), and shields are better against kinetic damage than armor (T1 assumed), the problem must be with your fitting or your tactics.

Without further information, we can only speculate.

Domi, Tengu, Kronos, Golem, CNR (XL Booster), Ishtar, Gila...

Everythings that does Kin / Therm DMG and can be well tanked against Kin DMG. You can fit a tengu with T2 mods, easily tanking guristas Sanctums.

Profile is more or less like 80% Kin 20% Therm Dmg from Guri.

I'm not quite sure how much jamming is done in Anoms, so you may have to get one or two, med or lowslot ECCM modules.

Well so far i used a Megathron it does great DPS and stuff. Just lacking on its paper tanking.

Ishtar is well tanked but requires an AB to keep itself from danger and almost a tanking whore; but most of its DPS are from the Sentries though.

I am looking up to get a Navy Mega or a Hyperion, since i do like guns after seeing its DPS.

Why are you asking for advice, when you have already decided and don't want to listen to the standard advice being offered?

If you spend the time to google your question, you would have made a better choice then your current one.

I lived up in Vale of the Silent for 4 months on an alt back in R.A.G.E was still around. Ran tons a Havens and Sanctums in a T2 fit Raven and had no problem tanking. Might be a little harder now since CCP buffed anoms but you could get a tengu since it's smaller sig radius, fast velocity, and almost 90% resists would negate almost all the damage from cruise missiles and torps.

A good machariel fit can destroy the sites while keeping a nice tank, especially with a AB fit to negate missile damage.

Realistically, it's overtanked as **** for sanctums, but I haven't seen much need for a target painter or web. The only issue is the two webbing spawns in the station sanctum, if it's a ring sanctum I've never had any problems whatsoever.

I had little issues with the sentry ishtar for sanctums , while most if not all of it's DPS is from drones it also doesn't suffer from being potentially chain jammed by Guristas , failing that a tengu but it hurts way more when you lose a tengu.

Are you trying to passive tank your Raven? You should be using a shield booster.

Tengu is awesome. With small b-type gistii booster and AB it can tank 8/10 plexes

I always active tank my Ravens.
Just maybe my cap drops way faster than i thought it should.
