Why does eve not follow it's own rules? GMs not helpful either.

Get a 15 min criminal flag, it expires. This isn't the issue. I know what I did.

Then get a 15 minute aggression timer, it expires.

No more timers, think huh, should be safe back in hi sec. Wrong. Caldari says Im a criminal and follows me everywhere trying to kill me and it starts another aggression countdown.

My security standings 4.96 and excellent with every faction. Have to wait for a server reset to restart mission running.

What's the point of 15 minutes countdown? Just a lie for noobs to believe, or a bug that has never been fixed?

How soon after your 15 minute aggression timer ran down did you return to highsec?

The reason I ask is that it often seems there's a 1-2 minute "invisible" aggression timer, most likely related to how long it takes the server to handle the update that says your timer is over. During this timer, everything works exactly the same as an aggression timer - except you have no visible timer. A lot of us in FW have taken to waiting a 2 or 3 minutes after the actual timer expires just to be sure we aren't caught by the "invisible timer".

Did you get shot at by any Caldari owned gate guns? Even if you have a 10 seconds left on GCC and get shot at by a gate gun you will end up with a 15 minute agression timer by the faction that owns that gate gun. That may be the reason thier navy is mad at you?

Now this is close.

It was within 1 or 2 minutes after the countdown ended. Perhaps a update to the 15 minute countdown to compensate for lag or server lag? To me, when the countdown goes away, it should be well.....gone..

However, I did dock at a station and wait again beyond the 15 minutes, how long I dunno, was watching thundercats on YouTube. Exit the station in my CNR after no timer and blam, I'm and enemy that must be destroyed and chased me into the instance to destroy me. So I redock and call it a night.

Yes I did get shot at by gate guns, no biggie. I did not reset the timer after I was done however, I waited about 1 or 2 minutes after the countdown ended. I had no timers on me when I was being agro'd by caldari, which is very irritating then it created another 15 minute aggression timer.

Security rating doesn't matter in regards to getting shot at by Caldari. What is your current Caldari standing? -- might be good thing to check.

7.97 standing with caldari. I'm a mission care bear whom decided to try pvp in low sec and didn't even get a kill. I'm not naive, nor a noob, hence why i brought this to the forums. Yes, I did aggess, but I waited my time and came back to where I should be praised, not destroyed.

Edit - a server reset would NOT change it if I was hated by caldari. This is a issue that should be addressed.

I'm not calling you a noob. Heck, even I make silly mistakes from time to time and may overlook something. Just thought it would be better to check regardless. I hope you figure it out.

I think it's clear that the State has issued a cosmic 'come at me bro'. Maybe the State just doesn't give a **** 'bout yo timer.

It's cool, I didn't take it wrong, just wanted to state I'm knowledgeable about all my standings, but was hoping someone would reply, Yep it's a bug or the timer is a lie.

I just hope my petition gets answered. Most other petitions, I got smart-ass responses in this game. Granted years ago,I returned a little over a month ago, so guess I'll wait and see.

Cheers

This is how I feel. Hey I got a timer, let's waste his 15 minutes then **** him when he exits the station. This game is about learning from your mistakes, but when eve says one thing and does another, makes you wonder......

You should fire on all Concord patrols. It's the only way to be sure.

This.

"confronting" an entity of a faction that you have an aggression timer with, will refresh the timer with that faction. That's why we usually advise people to stay docked for 15 minutes if they want to be completely sure that all NPC timers have expired.

While I'm sure this makes perfect sense, I'm still gonna go with the 'Caldari State has gone rogue and is firing wildly into space at anyone that passes' theory.

I think it'd make Eve interesting.

I'm glad people read my responses so I don't have to say the same thing over and over again. Roll

Timer expires, this mean I wait the 15 minutes.....and I don't have a countdown. Now if I have to wait and additional 15 minutes after my timer expires, give an additional timer that i need to follow. This is a game mechanic fault, not player fault.

I'll try and explain how this works. The timer at the top of your screen only shows the time elapsed since the first moment that you received an aggression flag. It does not show any updates (mostly).

Now, when you receive a yellow aggression timer versus an empire faction (because you were a bad boy) the timer will refresh EVERY time someone from that faction's navy spots you. This includes gate/station guns. This refresh of the timer is NOT shown on your screen. This means that you need to be docked or stay in a safe spot for a full 5 minutes. If you come near a gate or station before that time is up the timer will refresh again.

The best way to deal with this is to dock up and walk away for 15-20 minutes.
